We are a very small farm, was able to buy tractor new, but all my implements i have bought used, mostly broken and repaired it myself. Thanks for sharing, look forward to watching more of your videos.
I love the FORD 101 bottom plows!! That’s all I use myself and on the spring trip mechanism if you ware out your plow spring trip or buy a plow worn really bad all you gotta do is drill and make your own sheer bolt hole and install a soft 5/16”soft bolt or grade five bolt so your plow will trip when needed to prevent damaging the plow itself
I guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost the password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Creed Dax i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you so much for your videos. I bought a Ford 101 3 bottom plow used. Where do you get your parts from? I have your same John Deere as my first tractor. Excellent advice all around.
Sir, you are sooo right, there is a big difference between used and abused :-) I learnt it by myself, the hard way By the way, I own the twin of your New Holland. The European one, all the same except the color and the hood. The Brand and Modell is called "Steyr Kompakt 370" Another great video, thanks for sharing !
I bought a 2nd hand NH T4.65 - It was a pain in the rear (must have come off the production line on Friday afternoon). I got a 2nd hand NH 80D, don't regret it thing was just reliable solid no frills no over the top electrics (computerisation). 100% agree on used equipment, generally for me the simpler the implement the more likely i am to make a judgement. Big stuff like Balers, i am very careful with because there are so many parts and points of failure.
You did a great job talking equipment. I got the same drum mower and like it . I’m planning on getting a new or new to me hay rake . Possibly a small rotary rake . What do you think ?
Hi Mr Jones as always thanks for watching and commenting. I have no experience with a rotary rake myself. I started out square bailing and using a roller bar rake. Then we started rolling our hay and the roller bar didn't work as well (to small of windrows) so we picked up a used Walton 8 wheel rake and I love it. The things I like about it is it is simple with very little moving parts and it is a one pass operation. Used one are also pretty cheap in our area as well I think we gave around 2k for ours. Things I would change (I am Being picky here lol) is it doesn't rake as clean and in small fields and tight corners it can be a bit of a pain. I hope this helps and once again thanks for watching.
We sell our crops to a number of outlets most of them are wholesale warehouses that service chain supermarkets and restaurants. We also sell directly to the public. In a upcoming video I will talk about marketing vegetables and some of the challenges. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi love your videos great advice on buying equipment. Grew up on a small farm. New machinery is not always an option or necessary.

Great video. True on worn or worn out.
Straight to point, good video you got a sub.
I’ve found a lot of the new implements aren’t made as good as older stuff.
Thanks for the video. I sell to farmers and need stuff to talk about.
Thanks for watching

one tip is to be careful you don't buy someone else's problems.
If it’s not too personal who writes your checks or gives you cash for your crops?
