Einstein's general and special theory of relativity points out that full ass is the same to all observers no matter what reference point. And while amount of ass in full ass is not infinite, you would need infinite energy to reach level of full ass. Therefore two half asses, while it seems it would amount to one full ass, it does not. You see, if you half ass, you reach 50%. When you then add another half ass, you actually add 50% of 50%. Therefore you are at 75%. Then you add third half ass, that is going add only 12.5, as half of remaining 25. And so forth.
@@JukkaVaan understandable, however the theory of relativity was based in part on the assumption that the speed of ass ' light' is constant which has proven to be false in a lab with lasers and stuff

For extra bonus points mount the winch on a pivot so it can swing left/right. That way you can winch at an angle without ending up with a tight ball of rope tangled up at one end of the drum. You do need some sort of positive clamp to hold it at the required angle. I ended up using a quadrant with a curved row of holes that I can drop a bolt through.
A breaker bar on the lug nuts, or better yet the axle nut, does wonders for moving around nonrunning vehicles. A brick behind the tire is handy too for when you have to reset the breaker bar, if it's not the ratcheting kind
That's not bad. Thanks for sharing. I usually use the one project car to tow the other project car. For the light ones that have fender clearance rolling from the OD of the tire was my go to
Older cars (90’s) parking brakes were typically drum brakes which are oriented in a way that the grab is increased if the car is moving forward so I would recommend when trying to unstuck a parking brake to break it going in reverse first.

Awesome project! As somebody who does quite a bit of functional off-roading in all sorts of conditions (I work on farms) I would highly suggest throwing in that SXS winch that you were talking about on a 2WD off roader like this, and throw some ground anchors (they look like oversized wine cork pullers) or even just a extra long chisel (pound into the ground at a forward angle and winch off the base) in the back. Big winches are pure marketing, and something 11,000 lb is just as likely to snap a cable or twist your frame as get you unstuck. In a two-wheel drive vehicle like this you'll often end up in many situations where just a slight consistent tug will get you out, and if anything the winch will act as a retractable tow rope system, which is nice... And there's just something about a Viper with a winch that sounds so badass (Not to mention it would have helped you in the last scene of this video, but that motorcycle tow was a cherry on the top of a great video 👍)

Think i saw this in some other video, but don't remember where. Yes, i did try it myself. Yes, it works.
protip for your camper rust situation from someone who lives where they salt the roads Before the next time you go to the salt flats - cover the entire undercarriage with a fluid film coating. I kinda doubt theres a local place to get it done where you are, but you can order the cans. Common brands are "fluid film' 'rust check coat and protect' and 'krown'. Barring that hose it down with some ATF. The fluid film is an oil, it'll creep in and cling to the metal and prevent water (and salt) from reaching the metal and causing rust, and will also help loosen up stuff thats already rusting. It makes working on it a little gross cause everything is oily, but it is way better than trying to work on severe rust.
You can never make your lights too bright on an offroad viper. I've checked other offroad vipers and they have them too. And always remember, any tool can be the right tool for the job.
Another Tip for future Matt: Clean your print bed very well with acetone / isoprop and a kitchen towel before printing things with a small foot print on the bed.

That 80" light requirement would be helpful if more than 10% of the driving public knew what it means. Also, I can't believe that this requirement changes anything or anyone's driving behavior. [My commercial only comment was/is incorrect.]
To be fair, having extra lights to keep a vehicle coming at you from blending into the pavement or background isn’t the worse problem when it comes to vehicle safety.
Strictly width... the Raptor was never intended to be a commercial vehicle. Also, all duallys have the extra lights (typically on the cab rather than grill) regardless of personal vs commercial
The requirement has nothing to do with commercial versus personal vehicles. It doesn't matter whether or not the general public knows what the lights mean, since they are most important only to other drivers of wide vehicles.
@@mikeunsupervised9254 I read the raptor got a special pass due to lights on the roof making the height too tall in parking garages, otherwise the regulation states they must be above the windshield.

Nice to see that Matt is building up a halfassed community. It's what so many halfassed people are looking for. Could you plz make a halfassed chair for the halfassed comment in a halfassed way? We could also consider calling it a 1/2 assed chair. You know to save some 1/2 assed time.
Old video, but for the sendcutsend (i guess lasercut) parts, with holes next to bends, you can put a slit on the bend line that is the length of the hole, and it will relieve the bend and not make the hole wonky.
Think i saw this in some other video, but don't remember where.
Yes, i did try it myself. Yes, it works.
protip for your camper rust situation from someone who lives where they salt the roads
Before the next time you go to the salt flats - cover the entire undercarriage with a fluid film coating.
I used your 4runner roof rack video to build one for my LX470, I'll use this video as inspiration for a bumper 👍
13:16 side profile silhouette looks great. Maybe use this as the baseline for the salt racer
Winch solution: install front and rear receivers and electrical connections. Mount the winch on a steel tube and keep it in the trunk until needed.
I’m just so glad to see someone else that has to complete a half dozen side quests during any project
You can never make your lights too bright on an offroad viper. I've checked other offroad vipers and they have them too. And always remember, any tool can be the right tool for the job.
02:00 - OOOOH! 'Fantasy ladies'! The blonde...? She got 'Face' (and a coupla other things 😏😉)... But, I'll 'Order' the Brunette model please! 😉👍🤣🤣

excellent summary!
Add a brim in your slicing software before printing. Makes your part far less likely to come off the build plate during printing.
Another Tip for future Matt:
Clean your print bed very well with acetone / isoprop and a kitchen towel before printing things with a small foot print on the bed.
It's genuinely impressive how you're getting along with this project. Despite the little errors here and there, the end-result always looks damn good.
I have a slight problem with ignoring errors though.. ^^
Even just rolling slowly along the driveway it looks super-cool dude 👊👊👊. Whether or not engineers are good designers matters not. By engineering the performance car aspect out of the Viper and replacing it with off-road bro-ness, you have created a beautiful thing. So let's get to smashing it up on the rocks 😂. 😎
My favorite thing about Matt is his level of self-awareness. Bumper on off road bruh.
That part "...or having friends" was especially poignant. Ouch.
@@sonorioftrill No argument there.
I have to say Matt that this project has not dissapointed.
From the start I thought it was a horrible waste of you skills and talent.
So far it has exceeded my expectations.
Glad to see quickjack supporting the channel. The first thing I will do after buying a home with a garage is get a quickjack, not too expensive and very useful!
A buddy just sent me this video, this guy’s the legit unit! Good laughs, entertained, and of course, had to subscribe to this channel!
Damn that looks amzing , my the algorithm gods bless your videos
When you get the Viper done, definitely needs to be a "Offroad Viper vs. Jeep vs. Hummer vs. 4-Runner vs. (whatever else) Off-road Shootout" (or something to that effect). I'm happy to volunteer my Jeep for that video!
Great job on the video Matt! Thanks for making it.
11:53 i like the SuperFastGirl sticker!
Real Genuine Off-Roading Bro!🤣🤣🤣Certified good enough! Love it SFM!
Best regard from fellow SF5 forester 🇲🇾
Loving the engine specs and the bodykkit
Every Time i watch this Channel .. fun crazy interesting Stuff.. 👍and " No he dont dare to do that .. Nooo" 😎
But its worth every Minute Thanks Matt !
12:12 that smile
This crazy project is really coming together, greater than just the sum of it's parts. Well done.
Make your Viper 4WD too... Perfect for off roading. No Production Value Garage did a Mustang conversion. All of yall are amazing
11:24 (& thumbnail). It looks like the bumper is straight, just the viper front is wonky.
This is insane how cool this is. I'm a fan.
I so like listening your narration and the humour you use 👍
What a project. I chuckled through the video which really is 'good enough' - ha! Thanks Matt.
7:22 tow *eyes* damnit.
I'm really glad you chose this as your next project. It is definitely my favorite so far!
Can’t tell you how much i enjoy this channel and your approach to solving problems on well everything. Thank you
2:00 Perfect 🎉😂
Awesome project.. I think some rock sliders will be a nice and useful touch...
Maybe a receiver in the front bumper, the make a receiver mount for the winch and store it on the passenger seat. Buckled in of course.
hell yeah (said in response to every point you raise)
ATV winch and a couple of snatch blocks can handle most sticky situations.
Absolutely loved the vid. Fantastic humor.
Amazing!!!! Awesome bumper!
Someone thinking outside the box 📦 👍👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺nice job👍👍
this build is looking so sweet. looking forward to the next episode.
Your narrations kill me. I am a lefty dyslexic engineering schooled. Keep killing it. Can't wait for the drive and off-road camp mug shots.😂😂😂
Perfect timing on this one. Currently collecting materials for my rally bumper on a 2006 Cobalt LS
Bro... nice work! Looking forward to the first drive episode.
Dude!!! Wow!!! Great video!!! If I ever find myself owning a viper!!! I know send cut send has blue prints for a real cool front bumper!!!
Wow 329K subscribers! I've been riding along since the Honda was featured on JLG. The Viper is my favorite SFM project yet.
You are the only channel i watch where i like every video!
I really need to get a ride in that thing some day, great work Matt
That was an AWESOME episode!! Love your sense of humor!
2:06 love it 2:45 lmao.
Great video 👍 I promise not to look at the offset on the bumper and I'm sure J Leno won't look either it's time to show it to a wider world 😊
Jay worthy to be sure...all hail the Jaygorithm
Thanks for brightening my Sunday. Insomnia, tinnitus, anxiety - washed away for now in a deep bath of engineering "brilliance".
