    ***CORRECTION*** - @zyrox has pointed out that the C-47 is "Pegasus" and not "Drag 'em Oot". Turns out there was a last minute aircraft swap which I didn't get to hear about as I wasn't in range of the public address system. My apologies!
    As I write this, I'm about to head up north for the Cosford Airshow. I'll have two days to edit and publish that episode before heading abroad and attempting to catch Antidotum Airshow Leszno and the Italian Air Force 100th anniversary airshow in the same weekend. It's about to get very busy indeed. Highlights to come include the F-104, Patrouille Suisse, Polish C-130 flare dump, Frecce Tricolori, Horsemen, various F-35s, German Eurofighter and the Flying Bulls, so make sure you are subscribed!

    This is My #1 Go to Channel for Aviation Shows etc, The Picture and Sounds are Perfect and also the Commentary is Very Interesting however You DONT Constantly talk over the Sound of the Planes which is Important I find as its Important that Fans of Such Great Machines get to Hear the Sounds of the Planes as, I've seen other Channels that constantly Talk over the Sounds and it totally Ruined the Show so I Turned it off Straight away. Again, Very Well Made and Thank You for Yet another Brilliant Video. Much Love From Birmingham UK. 🇬🇧❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

    Great dispatch! As usual great presentation and worthy content! You're one of my inspiration in airshow content. Was looking out for you during the 2nd day of Midlands. Hope to see you in Cosford and meet you personally. Now my channel has 350 subs hope it continues to grow as well.

      Ha! Well sorry to have evaded you. I spent quite a bit of time on day 2 by the aircraft parking area, out of sight of the public zone, which is perhaps why you didn't see me. I'll be milling around at Cosford all day in the main public areas and happy to chat before the flying starts, so good luck trying to spot me and good luck with your own channel also. Thanks for your kind words.

    Another fantastic episode! Couldn't have had better weather for it!
    I thought your comments on the Typhoon Display were actually really interesting. Compared to last years Display I think Brighty's routine is a lot more compact and repositioning seems a bit faster. I prefer much more compact displays as its closer to the crowd and more focus on agility rather than speed.
    Considering we spoke about a a month ago I'm looking forward to this year even more now, a stellar participation list.

    • @ThisisFlight
      @ThisisFlight Рік тому

      I agree, I thought the repositions were pretty good, especially for a first show. My comment referred to inclusion of three straight, flat, fast passes down the A-axis. One is already too many in my book!
      RIAT is looking stellar. Thanks for watching!

      @@ThisisFlight Yeah I totally understand what you mean. For me, a single high speed pass/dedication pass is all you need really. I think displays which show off manoeuvrability most are more impressive. For example, the Rafale repositions like a house fly 😆 which is ace.
      Totally. All we need is fantastic weather. I didn't too badly on my display team predictions, if the Turkish Stars didn't cancel I would have had a full house in terms of guesses on what was coming haha!
      Considering it's three weeks to go, it'll be very interesting to find out what the next USAF participants are going to be and whether the Italians finally confirm items.
      Since we last spoke, is there anything else you're particularly excited for at RIAT?

    • @ThisisFlight
      @ThisisFlight Рік тому +1

      Flying Tornados, static F-4s. But there's so much good stuff and quite a bit more still to come.

    • @anguscooper8132
      @anguscooper8132 Рік тому +1

      @@ThisisFlight The German Tornados are definitely going to be a highlight for me as I haven't seen a flying Tornado since RIAT 2018. The list of aircraft I haven't seen before this year is really long despite attending RIAT a lot. So many items to look forward to.
      Ooo very exciting! I'm particularly curious about what's attending from the Indian Air Force (if they are participating). Of course rumours have circulated about Indian Jaguars attending after Bastille day but we'll have to see haha.
      What I love this year is that the majority of aerobatic teams participating are incredibly rare sights at a UK show. It'll be so good! Also so many returns of old favourites like the B52s, Spanish and Italian Harriers etc.
      I'm so hyped.

    Great video the red arrows are getting boring now same old stuff. Also the change of gypo clearly a woke move there. Awso and in-depth video though very excited for the season. Also H&S really making the displays suffer with distances from ground and crowd.

    • @ThisisFlight
      @ThisisFlight Рік тому +2

      They're definitely not a patch on some of their foreign counterparts nowadays.
      Regarding minimum distances, the 150/230/450m separation lines are pretty much the world standard and have stayed the same in the UK for decades, but post 2015 these distances are being calculated more dilligantly, moving the flying further away from the bulk of the crowd at many specific venues. At the same time, the industry has been trying very hard to squeeze out those less responsible members who play fast and loose with the rules and might choose to get a bit too close to show off - they have been mostly successful in stamping out that kind of behaviour and that is definitely seen as a good thing. Minimum heights are another matter and CAA-imposed blanket minimas at specific venues, or concentric Display Areas with changing minimas, are causing major headaches for pilots, organisers and spectators alike - including here at Ragley Hall. This'd be the perfect venue to see a few more pilots come down low, but alas most are required to stay above 200ft.
      Thank you for watching!
