I have an older truckster. I am currently restoring it. The only thing keeping e from finishing it is the carburetor. It does not have one; nor can I buy one. I found a walbro that has the exact same bolt pattern.Do you think it will work?
Hi! Thank you for posting this ! I just picked up a 1990 Cushman Haulster with what looks like the same engine in your Truckster. I am cleaning up my project as, it's been neglected over the years. Your Cushman manual says .003/.005 for BOTH intake and exhaust? I just want to make sure before I adjust my valves. Thanks again!
Glad this video helped you! According to the cushman service manual, .003/.004 is preferred for both valves. offroadmudmowers.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/OMC-Engine-Manual.pdf Theres a few other manuals under the Cushman tab here: offroadmudmowers.com/documents/ Good luck with your cushman, they are a ton of fun!
OMC use to make boat outdrives if I remember correctly but these engines are really smooth and clean!!
Yep, still see some engines on Craigslist. Pretty smooth like you said.
I love those machines, great work, and really good video!
Thanks, really enjoyable machines to ride around. You should find one, oh wait I have everyone in WA state haha.
Is there a torque spec on rocker studs , or valve covers? Also is there a variance for valve clearance , like .004-.006 ?
are the studs a failure point? why did you replace
