It's great to hear that you're planning to appear for CAT and aim for top colleges. Building a strong profile is essential, especially if you don't have work experience. Here are some suggestions to enhance your profile and increase your chances of getting into a top B-school: CAT Preparation: Since you're starting your CAT preparation now, make a study plan and stick to it. Dedicate sufficient time for each section (Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning) and practice regularly. Consider enrolling in a good coaching program or using online resources to help with your preparation. Academic Performance: Your academic records are quite good, especially in 10th and BCom. Keep up the good work and try to maintain or improve your academic performance. A consistent academic record is valuable in the admission process.
What are some habits that we should build to improve DILR for example solving Suduko , what else can I do before starting cat preparation # 1 year college student

Are Bsc students given academic diversity points or are they considered as engineer, and if they are not considered as engineer then will they be given academic diversity points equal to commerce graduates
The admission process and policies of different Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) can vary, and they might consider B.Sc. students differently based on their individual eligibility criteria. However, as of my last update in September 2021, I can provide some general insights. Typically, B.Sc. students are not considered as engineers during the admission process. In CAT and IIMs' selection criteria, engineering and non-engineering backgrounds are usually treated separately for academic diversity points. B.Sc. falls under the non-engineering category. For academic diversity points, many IIMs offer them to candidates with non-engineering backgrounds, including those with B.Sc. degrees. The aim is to create a diverse student body with candidates from various educational backgrounds, as each background brings unique perspectives and skills to the classroom. It's important to note that academic diversity points are just one component of the overall selection process. CAT score, past academic records, work experience (if any), written ability test (WAT), group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI) performance also play significant roles in the final selection.
Hello sir I am 33 and I exhausted all my upsc attempts .and now looking forward to CAT with zero experience .. please suggest .. can I crack cat ? Or should I look forward to some other options please give some advice sir 🙏 please sir
Hello, First of all, it's important to acknowledge that the decision to pursue CAT or any other career path depends on your interests, strengths, and goals. It's never too late to explore new opportunities and make a career change. Here are some considerations and advice to help you make an informed decision: CAT Exam and MBA: CAT (Common Admission Test) is the entrance exam for various prestigious management programs in India, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). If you are interested in pursuing an MBA and believe that it aligns with your career goals, then preparing for CAT can be a good option. Assess Your Aptitude: Since you mentioned you have zero experience, it's essential to assess your aptitude and interest in management and business-related subjects. MBA programs are rigorous and require a good understanding of business concepts. If you find yourself genuinely interested in these areas, it could be an indicator that pursuing CAT is worth considering.

Sir I m currently CA and my package after 3-4 years around 20 lakhs. Can i go for MBA finance ??? And another 1 questions there is any benefit in CAT exam of clearing CA
As a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a package of around 20 lakhs after 3-4 years of work experience, pursuing an MBA in Finance can indeed be a valuable option for career growth and diversifying your skill set. Benefits of Pursuing MBA in Finance: Specialization: An MBA in Finance will provide you with in-depth knowledge and expertise in financial management, investments, corporate finance, and related areas, which will complement your CA qualification. Career Opportunities: An MBA in Finance can open up various career opportunities in finance roles in corporate finance, investment banking, portfolio management, financial consulting, and more. Leadership Skills: MBA programs focus on developing leadership and managerial skills, which are essential for advancing to higher positions in your career.
Hello sir, (Mr. IIM guy) Sales executive or digital marketing ! Sales job mai salary jyada hai or MNC company hai lekin digital marketing mai salary Kam hai lekin koi target bhi nhi hai ab confusion ye hai ki agar mai sales job nhi kr paya kyuki sab log bolte hai kafi tough job hoti hai. Konsa option ke sath Jana chahiye kyuki mehnat krne se mai piche nhi hatta hu. Or mehnat to dono jgah par rhegi
Both sales and digital marketing have their own advantages and challenges. Here are some key points to consider: Sales Executive: Pros: Potentially higher salary, especially in MNCs. Performance-based incentives and commissions can lead to increased earnings. Opportunities for career growth and promotions within sales departments. Face-to-face interaction with clients and customers, which can be rewarding for some individuals. Develops strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Cons: Sales jobs can be highly competitive and stressful, with targets to meet.

Hello! Solving around 600 Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) sets is undoubtedly a significant effort and can be beneficial for your CAT preparation. However, the effectiveness of this practice will depend on various factors, such as the quality of the sets, your understanding of the concepts, and the diversity of the questions
Class 10 -10 cgpa Class 12 - 84% BTECH - 9.29 CGPA Working in a IT company (training) 2023 batch . general male , what percentile i need to get into iims
With your excellent academic record and work experience, you have a strong foundation for CAT and the IIMs' selection process. However, it's important to remember that the cutoff percentile for IIMs can vary from year to year based on factors such as the overall CAT performance of candidates and the specific IIM's criteria. As a general male candidate with a strong academic record and work experience, aiming for a CAT percentile above 98 or even 99 would be a good target to increase your chances of getting shortlisted for the further selection rounds of IIMs. However, keep in mind that the CAT percentile is just one aspect of the selection process. Other factors such as past academic records, work experience, written ability test (WAT), group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI) performance also play crucial roles in the final selection. To maximize your chances, focus on a well-rounded preparation strategy that includes regular mock tests, revision of concepts, and consistent practice. Also, ensure that you present a compelling application with a strong emphasis on your achievements and experiences during the WAT-PI rounds.
Hi sir. I'm a final year engineering student.. I got 9.8 cgpa in 10th 8.53 in 12th 7.8 cgpa in B. TECH I'm an SC category student.. I have no work experience.. How much percentile should I score in CAT to get into top B-Schools..
Getting admission into a good MBA college through CAT depends on several factors, including your academic background, CAT percentile, work experience, and performance in the selection rounds (GD, PI, WAT, etc.). While a high CAT percentile can increase your chances of getting into a top-tier B-school, it's not the sole determinant. Based on your academic scores, you have a strong academic background, which is a positive aspect of your profile. However, as you have no work experience, you might be applying for MBA programs directly after completing your BSc. Having some work experience can enhance your profile and make you a more competitive candidate. The CAT percentile required to get into a good college can vary each year and depends on the specific B-school you are targeting. Top IIMs generally have very high CAT cutoffs, often in the 95-99 percentile range. Other reputed non-IIM colleges may have slightly lower cutoffs but still require a high percentile, typically above 85-90 percentile. To have a good chance of getting into a reputed B-school, you should aim for a CAT percentile above 90. Achieving a higher percentile, such as 95 or above, will significantly increase your chances of securing admission in top-tier B-schools.
Good profile, academics might be a bit of an issue, however Focus on getting a high percentile in CAT and preparing well for GDPI, and you will be able to crack a good college
Hello bhaiya..! I am currently in final year of bcom and upto 4 semesters I got a total average of 80% and in 12th due to certain health issues I only got 43% and in 10th i got 87%...so can i get into any IIMs..... ? Please reply ...
It's great to hear that you are pursuing B.Com and have achieved a good average in your first four semesters. However, getting admission to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) is a competitive process, and they have stringent selection criteria. Typically, IIMs consider the candidate's academic performance, work experience, CAT (Common Admission Test) scores, and performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for the final selection. While a strong academic background is beneficial, it's not the sole factor for admission. The CAT score plays a significant role, and a high percentile is generally required to get shortlisted for WAT and PI rounds. Usually, a percentile above 90 or even 95 is considered competitive for IIMs. Regarding your 12th and 10th-grade percentages, while they are important for your overall profile, they might not be the deciding factor. Focus on preparing well for the CAT exam, as a good score can compensate for a lower percentage in 12th.
Hi sir, Good evening I hope you are doing well Recently I have completed my engineering from RGUKT in dept of ece with a good cgpa. I haven't got any placement and I'm not having any intrest in field of ece and I realised it in my engineering days (covid time) so then I asked what really u can and wannna do then I hitted with a option called MBA. So first of all where I have to do I got two options MBA in india and abroad I came to know about cat and then I realized I need to be super good at aptitude But eventually I was super poor in that so then I changed my plan to abroad and right now one of the prerequisites are work experience and gmat My query is can I do mba at a good university without work ex and gmat and How will be the opportunities are going to be My 10/12/ug score = 10/7.4/8.31 Can you please help me with this Thankyou
Regarding pursuing MBA either in India or abroad, both options have their pros and cons, and the choice ultimately depends on your personal preferences, financial considerations, and career goals. Let's address your concerns: MBA in India: In India, you can find a wide range of MBA programs offered by reputed universities and business schools. Many Indian MBA programs accept candidates without work experience, especially if you have a good academic record. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the common entrance exams for MBA programs in India, but there are also other entrance exams like XAT, SNAP, NMAT, etc., depending on the institution. MBA abroad: Pursuing an MBA abroad can be an attractive option as it offers exposure to a diverse international environment, networking opportunities, and access to global job markets. However, many top MBA programs abroad do prefer candidates with some work experience (usually a few years), as it adds value to classroom discussions and enhances learning from real-world experiences. Additionally, most international MBA programs require the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores as part of their application process.

With your excellent academic performance in 10th and 12th, you have a strong foundation that will certainly work in your favor during the selection process for the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Congratulations on those impressive percentages! Regarding your B.Com percentage, it is indeed slightly lower compared to your 10th and 12th marks. While a high graduation percentage can positively influence the selection process, it's not the sole determinant. The IIMs follow a holistic selection process that takes into account various factors, including: CAT (Common Admission Test) score: A high CAT percentile is crucial to get shortlisted for the further rounds of the selection process. Aim for a percentile above 99 to maximize your chances for top IIMs. Academic Performance: Your 10th and 12th marks are generally considered as part of your academic profile. Having a consistent track record of academic excellence can be an advantage.

10th- 86% 12th - 92.67% Currently in TYBCOM (60% till now) General Male No work experience Please tell the required percentile for getting call from XIMB through :- 1)CAT 2)XAT Please tell for both
To get a call for admission from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), the required CAT and XAT percentiles may vary from year to year based on the overall performance of candidates and the institute's criteria. However, I can provide you with an estimate based on the past trends. For CAT: The CAT percentile required for a call from XIMB is usually around 90 to 92 for General category candidates. It means you need to score at least 90 to 92 percentile in the CAT exam to be eligible for further selection rounds. For XAT: 2) The XAT percentile required for a call from XIMB is also around 90 to 92 for General category candidates. Similarly, you need to score at least 90 to 92 percentile in the XAT exam to be eligible for further rounds of selection. Please note that the exact cutoff percentile can vary from year to year, and meeting the cutoff only makes you eligible for the selection process. The final selection depends on various factors, including your academic record, performance in the written ability test (WAT), group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI) rounds.

As a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a package of around 20 lakhs after 3-4 years of work experience, pursuing an MBA in Finance can indeed be a valuable option for career growth and diversifying your skill set.
Benefits of Pursuing MBA in Finance:
Specialization: An MBA in Finance will provide you with in-depth knowledge and expertise in financial management, investments, corporate finance, and related areas, which will complement your CA qualification.

Or anything else how much percentile required to get a good college in cat

Hi sir,
Good evening I hope you are doing well
Recently I have completed my engineering from RGUKT in dept of ece with a good cgpa. I haven't got any placement and I'm not having any intrest in field of ece and I realised it in my engineering days (covid time) so then I asked what really u can and wannna do then I hitted with a option called MBA.
So first of all where I have to do
I got two options MBA in india and abroad
I came to know about cat and then I realized I need to be super good at aptitude
But eventually I was super poor in that so then I changed my plan to abroad and right now one of the prerequisites are work experience and gmat
My query is can I do mba at a good university without work ex and gmat
and How will be the opportunities are going to be
My 10/12/ug score = 10/7.4/8.31
Can you please help me with this
Thankyou
Regarding pursuing MBA either in India or abroad, both options have their pros and cons, and the choice ultimately depends on your personal preferences, financial considerations, and career goals. Let's address your concerns:
MBA in India: In India, you can find a wide range of MBA programs offered by reputed universities and business schools.
Thankyou bhai
Welcome

Sir is there any chance to get call from top iim . My bcom percentage is comparatively low than 10 the and 12 th. Does these graduation Mark affect my calls to top iims
The IIMs follow a holistic selection process that takes into account various factors, including:
CAT (Common Admission Test) score: A high CAT percentile is crucial to get shortlisted for the further rounds of the selection process. Aim for a percentile above 99 to maximize your chances for top IIMs.
Academic Performance: Your 10th and 12th marks are generally considered as part of your academic profile. Having a consistent track record of academic excellence can be an advantage.

Please tell the required percentile for getting call from XIMB through :-
1)CAT
2)XAT
Please tell for both
To get a call for admission from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), the required CAT and XAT percentiles may vary from year to year based on the overall performance of candidates and the institute's criteria. However, I can provide you with an estimate based on the past trends.
For CAT:
The CAT percentile required for a call from XIMB is usually around 90 to 92 for General category candidates. It means you need to score at least 90 to 92 percentile in the CAT exam to be eligible for further selection rounds.
For XAT:
2) The XAT percentile required for a call from XIMB is also around 90 to 92 for General category candidates.
