Ori and the blind forest was made by 20 people, the sequel maybe 40 and wicked are maybe a little over 100. Very small team but incredible talent from the best animation companies gathered around.
When you have a difficult setting one life mode you cant speak from kids games anymore. Very dark topics are portrayed in both games, but its like in a gibbly movie. You can play as difficult as you like and you can die more than 800 times. Or you choose an easier way and enjoy the beautiful sad story.
they need to change the blink with staff to just cost stamina and it just changes your dash. Having it cost mana doesn't make sense. When you could just dash instead and save mana for attacks.
Even though with Blink you can be Heavy and have a good mobility option. Also, as you level/gear-up you can have a lot of Focus (mana), which you will want anyways for more spells, meaning Blink can become a rather cheap strong mobility option. We can also craft/change Runes later on which probably means you don't have to have Blink if you don't want it.

I can assure you ori was never a family game, its brutal, difficult, skill based and very dark. Moon never make kids games.

But in ori its spirits and not about blood. But its dangerous, unforgiven and the enemies are no joke.
