Thanks Hitesh for making video on Thunder Client. I like to add few points for your audience 1. Collection Runner is available from launch, select collection and click "Run All" option, you might have missed it. 2. Sharing requests with Team is supported via integration with git, see Team Features Section. 3. Scriptless Testing is unique feature only available in Thunder Client, not in Postman or Insomnia.
Hi, 1. How to run pre request script? 2. Currently, import environment from the latest version of postman is not working. It was mentioned somewhere in the blog. When are you going to update this? 3. In postmna, I use apache drill to integrate with MSSQL to update my environment/global variable to feed my request. Is it available in Thunder client?
@@irshadhussainkh Hi Irshad, pre-request not yet supported, I will verify the env import issue and fix it. Not possible to use mssql to update the env. I will research about this. If you have any other issues, feel free to create new issue in our GitHub page
great for frontend devs who just want to visualize the data coming from an api, for backend, while developing endpoints, thunderclient lacks a lot of functionalities. Postman is still better ..... as of now ...
@@HiteshCodeLab both are very useful to me. Whenever i try to test some api endpoints, just opening a tab testing the endpoints out is rather easy than opening a new app. But as you said, when working out a large scale project, postman will be my go to app. I have used both of them, and honestly i have preference for both in different scenarios 😀
Outro music name plz? =D, came for the information about the thunder client, amazing video and I loved the outro song, keep up the amazing work that helps the community so much
I think for frontend developer (specifically mobile dev) working with API's it's a better option. As I don't need any extraordinary features to check endpoints.
I sometimes use AWS Windows Server 2019 and I find VS Code to be a key part while making changes to the code on the server. So anything that comes with VS Code is very helpful!
sir pls help i am adding a extension in vs code the name of the extension is pocketmine api , but it is saying that i cant install this bcz it donot support the current version of vs code
Can't agree more that Thunder Client is great. A good comparision for me, when running into issue with Postman and logging an issues, also a number of other users were running into the same issue, the attitude and rude comments from Postman developers. In contrast logging an issues for Thunder Client to support parameters, i got a very polite response from Rangav (Thunder Client's developer) within a couple hours and he mentioned parameters were just added. And further comments Rangav has been very responsive oh ya did mention polite. Good-bye postman... :)
Thunder client is good , I love postman too but it is like switch to other app from code editor and once you open postman , forget you can run other app on low end machine .
Wow.
Just saw this update on code with Harry.
Btw nice video 👍

outro was unexpected but it was nice

Thunder Client looks like something which would help me quickly test an api, while I am creating it, or to know the shape of the data from a service.

Is it better than Swagger?

How do you put the Request section at the top of the screen and the Response section at the bottom ??? (instead of left and right)
Hi Alberto, when you are split mode, it will show in top/bottom layout
Can we save dynamic values into global environment variables in thunder client..???
