Definitely have a plan B now it was always in the back of my mind that I would be unable to film but I was always able to overcome it whether a dead battery or too full of storage never thought I would drop it and break it LOL but it's a good thing it happened I'll be better off from here forward

I think if it would have gone in a cheese steak I would have been better off but things happen for a reason and I believe things will be better from here forward at least I'll be better prepared but one thing I did learn is that not getting frustrated was probably the best thing I could have done I'll be sharing more on Sunday night

There is a lot of content for you to catch up and binge watch this month marks the two year anniversary since my major stroke and also will be the three year anniversary of the channel on the one year anniversary of the channel I hit 500 subscribers that morning and went to work and had a major stroke. In life things happen that are so unexpected. I like the shots of you throwing in the pepper and onion instantly sliced! Amazing!
That was the one thing I was so excited about as I was filming it doing the cheese steak and showing those shots and editing that's why I had to make a video that's not a video for the night that I was regularly putting out a video if that makes sense LOL

Yeah when it happened I was like No And then my realization of everything that I had to do to get a hold of my wife who was away coming home the next day and do I still camp and give it a try without filming. Sunday night I'll go into a little bit more about the phone and how that all worked out

Oh wow, having your only source of filming (and lifeline) go down is terrible. I was always worried about that happening to me, so I started to film on a separate phone and save the video clips I filmed onto the micro SD card in the phone. I'm glad you got your phone fixed.

You'll be surprised you might know the Overlook but I was just stopping there for my intro and then I went down to the park to cook but my ultimate goal was to get to a different spot but I couldn't get there till after they close. Stay tuned next week's the video

Definitely left me totally stranded with not being able to use the phone to call anyone Lisa was out of town and coming home the next day where I had to pick her up in Hershey Pennsylvania but first The Dilemma of finding out how to fix my phone and if it could be made for it a huge Adventure I'm going to be talking about it on Sunday Night Live
Dang nabbit, I thought your car warranty ran out and broke down 😂. That'd serve you right for turning down that telemarketer. 😂😂. Glad to hear it wasn't something worse. I've got a few "burnable" phones from where every so many years I get a new phone. They don't have service on them currently but all I have to do is buy a card and in a few seconds I'm good to go with another phone. The cameras on them still work without service so you might want to explore that avenue as an emergency go to. Just like with starting a fire you should have a fall back for emergencies. 😊

You should have seen the time I took my kayak out. I'm in this beautiful sea of lily pads. So I get out of the kayak and I'm like... where is my phone. It was in the lake. It took me 30 minutes to find it. Yeah I did find it. Thankfully the pouch I make to put it in kept most water out of it. Weird stuff like that just makes us realize how crazy life can be.
Many years ago I was in a kayak and a Frog climbed up my shorts and I flipped the kayak fortunately my phone was in one of those packs LOL you are absolutely right the best intentions than life happens but the question is what are you going to do about it and how do you respond right

One of the main reasons I made that little video explaining things is because I wanted to use the film that I did the pepper and onion I wanted to see if I could make it look like I just threw it in and it turned into slices. And it worked awesome so glad you enjoyed it

I rock a rubber phone case and a glass screen protector. They give me some peace of mind. :)
I have a glass protector that's painted on and then put in a UV light that hardens it that's supposed to protect your glass and then I also have it in a rubberized protector and wouldn't you know it it hit on the one spot that would cause it to shatter through the glass protector and the screen on the phone it couldn't have been a more perfect hit I could probably do it 10 times and never break it but except for this one time LOL

Even though it was unfortunate there was a purpose I just filmed this video at 2:00 p.m. because I had some of the raw footage on my camera in my phone and I thought why not make a quick video I got it scheduled and up with 20 minutes to go that was a quick one

Yeah I have to put it out of my mind that I'm not filming for that I'm doing things and missing it wishing I could share it that's a hard thing to do to separate yourself from videoing and then just relaxing but I was able to do that and just trust that it would all work out so it was a very enjoyable camp and I look forward to recreating the part that I didn't film for next Thursday
They definitely don’t make phones like they used to. It doesn’t take much to damage them nowadays. I still keep a little prepaid flip phone for emergencies. I’ve been here. Glad you’re ok though. Pretty sure I wasn’t the only one on pins and needles thru this. Go Pros can be costly, but they can take the beating from the elements. Life happens. No need to apologize.
So glad to hear from you thank you so much yes they don't seem to make them like they used to I had a glass protector that was UV hardened top of the line and a rubberized phone protector and I could have dropped that thing a hundred times and it would be okay except for this one time it hit just at the right spot on that pot and it shattered the glass protector and the screen. Yeah GoPros certainly would be expensive and a different form of learning and editing for me since I do it all on my phone

The phone broke on Tuesday and I went out at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and filmed this I wasn't quite sure how I was going to do it but for two days I was beat trying to think of what to do and I wasn't going to do one and then I thought let's get her done LOL

My phone once fell out of my pocket straight into a big ol' puddle (walking across some tidal flats) completely drowning it. Soon as i got home i pulled it apart as much as i could and then stuck it in a bowl of metho (methylated spirits) to soak for a while. The metho helps draw out any water in the phone. I pulled the phone out of the metho n let it dry for a couple of days. Damn thing lived for another year or so before it started acting funny and had to be replaced.
Yeah I bet you that was a heart drop that's good you were able to recover it for that amount of time but yes unfortunately it seems like once something like that happens it's just living on borrowed time with your phone

You might want to think of getting a cheap blue tooth ear peace to keep in your cat in case this ever happens again. u can at least use the blue tooth earbud to make and get calls.

You should've used your new drone to film the rest. Not sure if that would've worked. Maybe it could be held by hand.
Yeah this style of drone you need your phone to be working as it links to your phone to record and sync to the video but that was a good thought

Hey man, I don't know what your budget is like but you should get yourself a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. It's stabilized for steady shots for when you're out hiking around and it can be set up to follow you so you can be walking all around it and it will keep you in frame. And it'll work with your DJI mic. Anyway, sorry to hear about your phone! Love your vids!
