This is beautifully done bc it shows how much they have loved each other in both movies, saying goodbye to Steve twice was heartbreaking, I think it hurt the most the second time.
He was her only ✨wish✨😭 Diana deserves to be happy with the man she loves.

And I agree, the second time was even more painful than the first time. But, as Steve said, we'll hope Diana gives herself the chance to love again, some day, because she deserves to be happy more than anyone.

@@lukasfast6553 Honestly her new love and their relationship stand an ice cube’s chance in hell of even lasting through the movie. Steve and his memory set much too high of a bar. It would be grossly unfair to them as well to have to compete with such an all-powerful, immortal love.
In my opinion, after Steve's death, staying alone with friends and kicking some ass is way better for Diana Prince. That's the price she had to pay to be superhero.
She will always remember Steve like hers.

This love story.... this masterpiece. These two were so meant to be together. The chemistry was so amazing and they just NEEDED to be together. Watching Diana cry and crave for him just crushed my heart. I’ve never felt like this during a movie. Thank you for making me feel this way and thank you even more for this masterpiece Patty.

I totally agree that the WW movies are a love story. There are so many layers to it as well. The watch for example is not only a stand in for an engagement ring but also represents the main obstacle to their relationship: Time, itself.
The other day I was struck by how much this love story reminds me of The Time Traveller’s Wife - a very badly done forgettable movie but Patty Jenkins makes it work here beautifully. People keep bemoaning the fact that Steve dies over and over but oddly enough death is kind of his super power. It gives him a strange sort of immortality. He is leap-frogging through time.
Technically and from his perspective they have only been together for a month - 2 weeks in WW1 and 2 weeks in 1984. But - and here’s the kicker - 100 years have gone by in between. Steve even says “It’s like not 1 day has passed......” It truly is devastating even for an immortal like Diana to endure:
Steve: “Diana, I know it’s been hard”
Diana: “You don’t know”

ive been watching this movie for like 3weeks and i can’t stop crying 😭😭 the love she has for steve.I CAN’t imagine diana’s pain of letting him go for the second time. In the first scene of ww84, they flashed some old photos from the last movie. Steve’s picture was in her desk, She visited steve’s family ranch as well. She loved that man for DECADES 😭

I have to say that Gal Gadot was and is the perfect person for this role. She is amazing and beautiful. I am used to Chris Pine in Star Trek, which he did an amazing job. Here again, an amazing job. I think for me for Wonder Woman it sure can pull some heart strings. (2017).
