I love it! Moroni turns down the light, steps up and looks to see what Joseph is doing. That’s great! And that’s just Round 1. We still have to go through R2, R3 and R4. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Ask Joseph F. Smith about Sec. 138 and pondering. This just gets better and better.I also wonder about how all this effected Joseph. I, too, would like to know what he thought about it all. I’m not worried about why Moroni appeared so many times. I know why. He wanted to make sure Joseph didn’t forget anything. Repetition is the best way for him to remember things that he was told. I have to repeat information over and over again and hope that something sticks in my memory.
One of the best things about this narrative is that Joseph was told to go and tell his parents. The Smith family was very close and they would be a wonderful support to Joseph throughout his life. ❤

    Thank you for the video.
JST 1:49-50 says, "The first thing that I can recollect was a voice speaking unto me,
calling me by name. I looked up, and beheld the same messenger standing over my head,
surrounded by light as before. He then again related unto me all that he had related
to me the previous night, and commanded me to go to my father and tell him of the
vision and commandments which I had received. I obeyed; I returned to my father in
the field, and rehearsed the whole matter to him. He replied to me that it was of God,
and told me to go and do as commanded by the messenger. I left the field, and went to
the place where the messenger had told me the plates were deposited; and owing to the
distinctness of the vision which I had had concerning it, I knew the place the instant
    that I arrived there".
Why did the angel tell Joseph to tell his father when his father was still a member
of an abominable church? And how did his father know his son's vision was of God
instead of a personal dream or a delusion by Satan?

If Joseph f Smith got a revelation because of all of his pondering, how do we know for sure that it was Revelation and not a conclusion that he came to because of the struggles? I'm not trying to be contentious and I do believe in profits I just Wonder? My husband and I are sealed.

To regularly hear unscriptural teaching is a serious thing, it is a continual dripping of slow poison to the mind. J. C. Ryle. Revelation must align itself with the biblical scripture otherwise it could be from Satan. Satan cannot destroy the Gospel, so he neutralizes it by adding and subtracting from it. Personal revelation is exactly what it should be, personal. Scriptures are the living and breathing Word of God; it is His very own revelation to us and should never be added. It is Gods sacred Word.
