It’s been so much fun watching this guy get his respect he deserves this season-hopefully he can make the playoffs for more respect. This dude is one of the most unique players I’ve ever watched and quite frankly my favorite guard to watch all time due to him be a drive master when the majority of other guards shoot from outside. His fashion and just lowkey/respectful attitude is also awesome and man the Thunder are coming babyyyy.
has Elite Footwork, great Pace, he’s Patient, shifty, hesi is deadly, high IQ for creating shots and getting to spots. Bro is unreal if I could be any NBA player build I would wanna be a SGA he’s like a Harden/Penny Hybrid
Doesn’t match harden in any way. Penny fo sho though
He doesn’t play much like Harden. Harden had good handles but mostly relied on his quick first step to blow by defenders or get an open shot. SGA has way more finesse than harden while being slower. He has a better mid range and he’s a better finisher than Harden. If he was an above average (which he might be but I’m not sure the stats) 3 point shooter, say about 38% or so on maybe 4-5 attempts, he’d literally average 40. He averaged 30 while barely shooting 3’s.
What’s crazy is that in like 5 years we’re going to look back at this SGA season and compare it to Durant 2014 season and Russ’ 2017 season. SGA really had a top 3 thunder season in 2023

@@ahmedegal6808 scoring is inflated nowadays, russ won the scoring title, led the league in 3 advanced stat categories despite being 'inefficient' and led a mediocre thunder team that was at least as weak as this years thunder to the 6 seed. And btw russ had a higher scoring output than shai this season
Shai is one of those players that’s a generational talent He’s so fun to watch Thunder are gonna be a scary team from years to come
The dude is strong too. His finishes could thrive in any Era.

Plays at his own pace, sneaky athleticism, doesn’t have to be a lead ball handler with Giddey on the rise.. watch out for this future all NBA 2nd-3rd team talent

I don't see nothing
I just don't like the foul fishing he does. He drives, and overreacts to any instance of contact. Sometimes he initiates it with the defender, then reacts and gets the
whistle. At this point, they call the slightest bit of contact a foul. Contacted had no bearing on the actual shot attempt, so it ends up being in and one. I feel like defenders either avoid him to avoid fouling out, or he "react-a-flops" to the line. No wonder he is a League Leader in Free Throw Attempts. He shoots free throws like he's big man. It's really disgusting, because he can legitimately hoop.
Who a better PG FOR OKC ? SGA OR WESTBROOK ??
