You forgot to mention the amazing battery life on the Amazfit. That's probably the most standout feature compared to other smartwatches.

@@mutant0177 Sure he does. The Garmin Epix Pro he mentioned has roughly 70 hours with GPS on (from what Garmin claimed) while the TRex3 lasts 180 hours with GPS on (although I realistically get 130 hours). It's still twice that of the Garmin.
True! But there’s so much more I left out. I focus on sharing my thoughts and experiences beyond just specs, or what's in the box. I hope that's what would be of some value to anyone taking the time to watch what I make. I do love any feedback tho 🙏 Thank you. Battery life is almost 10% per day. Tested by me
Amazfit builds the band like that because it's stronger than the little pins on quick release.

You can delete workouts. Go to the workout history and hold down the activity You want to delete. The same goes for the app, under the workout section scroll down to workout history then click the little arow at the top to get to the list of previous activities and hold down the one. They have this weird band system for durability reasons, at least that' s what they say
I am using Trex. I'm doing downhill ,motocross ,snowmobiling and snowboarding. Only managed to rip the strap when I ended up in a tree. So why change it ?
And battery is amazing.
Can live with the drawbacks for the price.

I'm confused in the video you were saying Amazfit had closer to the number of reps and Garmin was way off but you gave reps to Garmin? Were the other exercises vastly different than the 2 you showed?

Have you had any issues with the Epix? Before I open it, I was wondering if it still has issues with lag and what not. It seems Garmin will never address this.

Honestly It's my first product from them so no clue how good they are with updates. in my 5 weeks of having this watch the App (Zepp) got some nice updates.

Still don't understand we can't use the quick release bands its only a matter of changing the adapter then add a fix barr each side then attach your band isn't it!??

What I love about Amazfit (because both Balance and Trex3 have it) is setting your own type of vibration for a notification. Garmin could learn this, because sometimes the vibrations are too weak. And the material is first class, a slightly different look than a pure review. 💪
There is a glow in the dark watch band? Wow! I did not know that. I looked it up. It is for € 3,49 availlable at aliexpress. But all are only for apple watch.
Noone smart watch is perfect , I was using garmin watches for hiking and it has many problems with accurecy and software bugs, for me Garmin does not deserve all this money at all, I am testing now Amazfit t rex 3 and it better in many sides than garmin and I for me its very good purchase.

You use the "Membership Card" app. It's already on the Zepp app I liked it that just Brough it Forward to have it accessible quicker. Then on the zepp app it's pretty straight forward. IT will ask you to scan any barcode and saves it. I added my library card on it this weekend. it works 👍. Hope this helps

In Germany it is for € 299,00 in January 2024.
So it came out in January 2024 in Germany, 8 months ahead of anywhere else - that's actually amazing! but seriously you can get the amazfit balance for half the price and it's basically has all the same features, just a little less (but still great) battery life and less chunky.

Once my Amazfit lost my half marathon race while being poured by water that I drank on the run, I’ve never turned back again and switched to Garmin.
I am afraid that this problem it's e great one. They declare 10 atmosfere pressure resistant but maybe that it's a false pretense. This is what happened to me.
I am a proud owner of the Garmin Swim 2, Huawei Band 8, and other smartwatches, including the Mi Band series. Before deciding to purchase the T-Rex 3, I spent several months following English-language reviews of the new Garmin and T-Rex models. I eventually chose to buy the T-Rex 3.
The differences I noticed compared to Garmin and Huawei are: the inability to adjust metrics that were not detected in swimming, among other similar issues. I found the sleep tracking to be accurate based on my sensations. However, not being able to add undetected efforts skews other important metrics like recovery time, which is crucial for sports. So far, I would say it’s a good product overall. But, and I hope this doesn’t happen to others, after 18 days of use, the touchscreen stopped working. During charging, instead of charging, it lost 25% of its charge in 7 hours overnight. A few days later, the screen started flickering and then slowly lit up from bottom to top with a high contrast background and lines.
I immediately reported the problem to online support, who always responded-perhaps with artificial intelligence-but they understood there was an issue. Meanwhile, I tried to use it to compare the T-Rex 3 with the Garmin Swim 2 and Huawei Band 8. The T-Rex 3 beats the Garmin Swim 2 in health monitoring and is in line with the Huawei Band 8, as confirmed by the video. The Garmin Swim 2 is much superior in swimming measurements and accurate style and change detection. However, for the casual user, the T-Rex 3 is more than adequate.
Returning to the defect, on the 21st day, the screen became completely invisible, although the basic functions remained active. I then noticed a very high battery drain, which is worsening. Today, after being worn overnight from a 100% charge at 11:30 PM yesterday to 9:52 AM today, it dropped to 4%. I had contacted Amazfit support in Bologna immediately after noticing the issue, and they told me that they only send products and that it was pointless to bring it to them before 30/12/24 as they would not ship it. So, I am waiting until the 30th to send the product back.
I hope this phenomenon does not happen to others and that it is an exception that proves the rule. Meanwhile, the watch is completely drained and powered off... I will try to recharge it...

It's nice to hear this. It means mine is purely an unfortunate case. I am a master swimmer and thought that maybe something had happened while swimming. Nevertheless, I have used smartwatches for many years without any issue.

Another big difference is with the Garmin you can download music onto it. With the Amazfit you have to carry your phone.

Sorry, i really appreciate your video, but there are too many mistakes... for example you show to try to unmount the upper screws instead the lateral... the upper screws are for the watch, you dont have to touch them. Also, offering an adapter for the quick release strap is a very clever move, you can buy amazfit straps and have a lower weight, or using 2nd parts straps without problem. Also, as someone else noticed, it is possible to delete workout from the watch. Sometimes making too more adv videos limit the quality instead. From a Garmin to an Amazfit you have to talk with the downgrade of maps, that makes Garmin still shiny over the others, or, in opposite, the glove mode on the t-rex for winter use
