I was concerned when I learned that Musk was wealthy in Apartheid SA, but I didn’t really look into it because every white family was wealthy compared to the majority black population. That’s not to say that background is excusable, but it’s not so unusual that someone of relatively modest wealth otherwise would evolve beyond their racist homeland, especially after immigrating to US. My parents really understood a lot about the borked classism of Turkey and their own prejudices thoroughly after we immigrated. But when I heard that he walked around with emeralds in his pockets as a teenager and casually sold them in New York for 30x less than what they were worth, that’s how little of a dent it made into his family’s fortune, I knew this man couldn’t be trusted. The Abigail Disney’s of the world are anomalies. I immediately began scrutinizing Tesla and Solar City’s business models. It was always a sham. It was always grandstanding. It was always going to function in opposition to most basic socialist ideals-I mean FDR-level socialism-and it would never part from that model because it depended on fame to be profitable. That mindset does not a reliable employment benefit plan make. When the company was unprofitable, the investment went to capital and administration; the workers, whom you would think would be just as valuable as capital because they were fundamental to the production, were not prioritized as such. And why would they be? It’s just another expense. They would be replaced with robots _eventually_ in Musk’s grand scheme and robots don’t have feelings against slavery. Yet.
hes also pledged to run a new school that is supposed to bring up new world elites with all kinds of crazy concepts which sound like pr stun for me too

a while ago I worked at the tesla giga-factory in Sparks Nevada. its an absolute sweatshop. hiring only people that are either 18-20, then getting rid of them after 2 or 3 years, if they even lasted that long because of how much mandatory overtime they were forced to do as still developing humans. its shameful. I was working there while I was 19 to pay for my Uni while I worked there. and they refused to ever NOT give me mandatory overtime or work with me even after telling my manager my schedule for classes, which I worked nights so I could go to class during the day and just sacrifice sleep if I had work that that 1 time it overlapped every week. it's clear where his priorities are to me.

I always wondered why Goliath, who was a highly trained soldier iirc, would not wear armour or a helmet or anything into the fight.
He knew David had a sling, seems silly to not protect your self
Makes sense david was an asshole. Slept with a married woman then sent her husband to the front lines so he could die in battle just so he could marry her. Then when god was going to punish him for that he was given the choice when ever he should accetp the punishment or his people, he choose that his subjects be punish for his sins.

Nice work Vince. I remember the trapped football team story and thinking the outcome was odd. Can't wait to see what's next.
Thank you man! Yeah the dude is doing some awesome stuff but at the same time he’s been sketchy
I never brought into the myth of Elon. 🙄 He is too cringe for me, always has been. I like REAL geniuses and under-dogs.
Real geniuses are often socially awkward.
@@sarahberkner elon is a cringe god
@SomeoneOnlyWeKnow True geniuses are rarely given the credit they deserve.
Elon Musk is a sentient autonomous AI system that travelled through time from the future in order to build itself from scratch and prove that temporal paradoxes can be worked around. If you consider this hypothesis then everything else makes way more sense. I called it first.
I believe Nikola’s Tesla’s consciousness was implanted into the human sleeve named Elon Musk.
I believe he’s building the AI anti-christ that Satan himself will inhabit.
doesn't excuse any of the assholery tho. Sentient ai or human, if there were an ai smart enough to do all of that it should be held accountable just like a person
7:30 Except Elon didnt do any of those impressive things himself, he paid out for the talent and took all the credit, completely in Thomas Edison fashion.
That’s what all businessmen do .
Did Rockefeller ever actually work in an oil rig or in the mines or as a welder ?
NO
He just invested money
If your boss is offering to BUILD YOU A ROLLERCOASTER if you don't unionize...you should fucking unionize.
I’ve known 2 people who’ve worked for Tesla, both of them were fired during Disability Leave. They’re disgusting as a company
3:50 sounds so incredibly similar to Henry Ford. Paranoid of unions, because he thinks he can manage everything better on his own.
"A gloroffied investor" the best most accurate description of Elon imo
Huge fact correction here, it wasn't blood diamond money but rather blood emerald money.
My friend works for Tesla as a charging station technician, one weekend Musk wanted go on a road trip all over California in a prototype car. He made my friends team work all weekend with no OT because the prototype car couldn't interface with the chargers. Musk had no itinerary or plans for his trip so they had to track his cars location and charge the whole time, log into the stations, install a different program so Musk can recharge and reinstall the normal program when he left.

Oh this aged well now!
Wow, I really believed Elon's story, now after this video and some research I see he's a rich kid who just made smart choices. Not gonna hate Elon or anything but it's good to know the reality of the situation.
He like Trump. Hype himself up and pays tabloids to talk about him. Smoke and mirrors.
Are you OK with how he treats his staff, and how he underpays them?
@@bleekcer definitely not, I just saw the headlines of the racism case Tesla lost to a black employee. I really drank the Kool aid this guy sold. Guess i just wanted something to believe in.
He didn't, he only invested a little bit in Tesla. Once Tesla did well he forced his name into the founder and kicked out the actual founder. He didnt make smart choices, He threw anyone and everyone under the bus. He didn't found Tesla.
@@leiajiang7877 he didn’t invest a little he has the largest shareholder in Tesla during the initial wave of investors. I don’t know if he genuine believed in the company but what I do know is that he wanted to control it from the beginning considering how drove away one of the founders alongside the car designer that joined the founders he also blamed the second founder for increasing cost of the Roadster and eventually stole his car.

ive said this before and ill say it again: elon musk has spent his entire life trying to roleplay as seto kaiba.
but at least seto kaiba had a cool blue eyes white dragon-shaped private jet
I used to be an Elon Musk fangirl untill I realised a lot of it was just really good pr. Penelope Scott's song, "Rät" sums up my experince pretty well
the only impressive thing about Elon are his hair plugs
Ikr, I hate the guy but even I won't deny whoever fixed his hair did a great job lol.
This is one of the best videos on Musk I've seen. He is just an investor who's father gave him 10s of millions of dollars to him. He's usually has no idea wtf he's talking about as multiple actual scientists have told him to his face when it comes to things like batteries and AI.
Hi, I'm not saying what you wrote is wrong, I'm just curious.
How do you know his father gave him 10s of millions, and what scientists exactly did tell him that, do you have names so someone could verify that with them or did you read it somewhere.
Again, I not saying you are wrong, but it is very important that if you make a statement like that it can be verified as a fact and not a rumor.
Otherwise the next person can just write that Musk is Is colorblind and cheated in school in every test.
I hope you know what I mean :)
Cheers and cheated in school in every test.

I'm glad some ppl are starting to see Elon isn't the tech bro messiah he is portrayed.

i like to imagine that at elon's cool anti union party, the froyo machine breaks down and he forces them to stop fucking around and instantly repair it.
I would like to see a follow up video talking about all his scams (vegas loop, hyperloop, cybertruck, Tesla Robot…)
I learnt that last year that Elon Musk's son X AE A-XII has seven other siblings
@@ejedwards1678 his kid is gonna end killing him one day
The legend27 is back boys. As always quality content.
We back!
I had a hard time believing your video a year back, but now after him acquiring twitter, your analysis was spot on
I was concerned when I learned that Musk was wealthy in Apartheid SA, but I didn’t really look into it because every white family was wealthy compared to the majority black population.
Yet.
From what I've heard the car itself isn't a scam as far as the customer is concerned, but as for the employees I don't know.
Ok, commie
hes also pledged to run a new school that is supposed to bring up new world elites with all kinds of crazy concepts which sound like pr stun for me too

I remember I once briefly thought that Musk might be different from other rich people. I can't believe I ever thought that.
This is one of those videos that makes me say, "Huh, I wonder what the like-to-dislike ratio is," and then spend the next hour in a depressed state.
The only thing I know about the guy is that he named his kid after a bunch of numbers and he bought Twitter. That’s it. I’m 47 seconds in and am ready to learn.

Elon Musk, "Time to ruin your image!"
I still respect him. Sorry, I phrased that badly. I respect his sense of irony. Naming his company Tesla and then fashioning himself into the Thomas Edison of the 21st century? You have to admit, that's funny. I wonder if he did it intentionally...
Thomas Edison stole his fame from Nikola tesla, too!... They are a lot alike!
there is an interview with elon, where he says that he admires Edison way more then Tesla, so yeah he studied Edison quite well, because he is a business person more then a genius Inventor like Nikola.
Tesla was already incorporated before he invested in the company, so he had no part to name the company Tesla.
Someone’s about to get banned from Twitter

Fuck Twitter.
I would be super curious to hear what information wound up being the first crack in the armor of your former Elon fandom. Props to you for escaping the cult of cringe.
The peak Elonism is when i watched somebody happily bought $10 brick sold by Musk. 😂😂 Theres no turning point after that.
The whole stuff with Twitter really gives this a new spin.
It’s scary how easy it is to defend a person you think highly of - with Elon, it really does come down to marketing.

Congratulations on making it out. Don’t beat yourself up for what you used to think, you grew up in a society that taught you to worship rich people. It says a lot about you that you were able to see through the bullshit.
Ahh yes a rollar coaster in the factory is defiantly gonna improve health and safety lol 😂
When people are willing to change their mind, THAT'S when the truth comes out! Thank you for exposing the truth about Elon. Fact is he did do one amazing thing, which was to make sure that electric cars and viable batteries took the market by storm and became cool. But beyond that he's just an awkward guy with a bunch of money and ambition. People watch interviews where he doesn't speak very well and doesn't say much of interest and fawn over what a genius he is. It's always good to remember that our icons are just humans, and the godlike things they achieve are usually the sum of a whole bunch of other people's work.
Dude congrats on 14k! Every video I watch, it goes up a K
All true with one correction: Musk personally hasn't done anything in technology. He can't even properly recite scripts given to him by his engineers.
So what ?
He is a businessman and not a technician .
Do owners of Real estate companies do the construction work themselves like laying the bricks or digging the ground or operating cranes ?
@@bobfaam5215 He's not a businessman: check out "Common Sence Skeptic" to learn about his lies and incompetence beyond technology.
a while ago I worked at the tesla giga-factory in Sparks Nevada. its an absolute sweatshop. hiring only people that are either 18-20, then getting rid of them after 2 or 3 years, if they even lasted that long because of how much mandatory overtime they were forced to do as still developing humans. its shameful.
I don’t worship Elon like other fans, but I admire the guy. He is responsible for EV markets and for successfully privatizing rocket industry. You can’t really hate the guy for fighting the idea of unionzation. I bet anyone running a multi billion dollar company would hate the idea as well. (Other car manufacturers were forced into it, they didn’t allow unionization willingly).
yeah, you really can't blame him for not wanting his employees to have a say in their working conditions since that would make him less moneyz on top of his unfathomably large pile
@@johnuferbach9166 that is the argument FOR unionization. That is not my argument. I am only claiming that employers don’t like unionization because yes, they will have to spend more on the working conditions, but also they will have less say over their employees and their ability to fire them for example. Its not only about piles of cash, but control also.
How did it become worse after all this
