Gina Sonck I agree. One of the best and most timeless songs ever to come out of Eurovision. I was as astounded it didn't make it to the final as I was surprised when Lordi won. I almost forgot about the song after the contest until I bumped into it again when sorting out my music last year, and now it's one of my most played tracks in iTunes. I was struggling with a bit of anxiety last spring, and this was one of the songs that helped me get through it. Along with Yann-Fañch Kemener's album Enez Eusa. Very different music, but both healing for the soul.
In 2012 I was so moved by this song, it resonated with every single cell in my body and years later it is still my very favourite euro vision song to date… 🍀🌍
I am here, like a proud finnish-swede listening to this masterpiece 10 years later and I have to say that everytime I listen to this it gets better. This song was so underrated
I didn't understand a word. I heard that it's a dedication to her mother. This is beautiful. But I can't get away from the feeling like she is singing about all sad things in the world and looking for some conscience...
Eien Blu if it would be in english I think it would have ruined some of the magic/beautifulness. It wouldn’t be the same and therefore I think it would not be so good as it is now
This is the song that has made the biggest impact on me, out of all the eurovision songs there's ever been. I keep coming back to it, and I'm always just as pissed and sad that it doesn't exists on Spotify! I NEED this on my playlist! 😭 Also, as a Swede I'm very proud of her for being brave enough to sing in Finnish Swedish, since she's the only one that's sung in Swedish for at least 23 years. That's one of the reasons this song has stuck with me like this. It's absolutely beautiful, and I could listen to it all day ❤️
I don't rememeber many Eurovision winners but I remember the exact name of this song and this singer 8 years later! And I'm not even Scandinavian (I mean the names are not common for me). I just wonder how deeply it influenced me that I easily remember and find this song when I felt I need to listen to it. What a song! Heartwarming ❤️
For all of you that doesnt know, Finland have 2 official languages, finish and swedish and the finish-swedish sounds different in different parts of Finland. For example: Åland is a part of Finland but only speaks swedish and it souds like a swedish dialect, if you are from Vaasa in Finland and speak swedish it sounds like they speak in the northern of Sweden and so on. The only thing that doesnt sounds like a dialect is the so called "Muminsvenskan" that they talk in Helsingfors (Helsinki).

Many of the best songs from Eurovision are underrated but this is the most underrated one of all times!!! HOW ON EARTH DID THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG NOT QUALIFY?!?!?!?
I love the fact that Finland ALWAYS do stuff their own way. Always a fresh breeze, always unique. Don't you ever change that, even if it means missing the final in Eurovision again.
For those who wanna know the lyrics into english: Tight close by The fragrance of us both. Turn yourself around, same shirt in blue. The fragrance i smell.. would be nothing without you. I am so glad that people could see the true value of this beautiful piece of art. This is what can be classified as art, not because she has something she wants to say, but purely because she has a song she wants to sing, from the depth of her heart. I fell in love with it the very first moment I heard it, and two years later she still makes me cry like a little baby. And I love the akcent, love from Norway and Albania.
Still listening in 2020, still getting goosebumbs in 2020. Such a beautiful song. Back in 2012 i bought the esc album with my pocket money just for this song.
I really don't understand how they could have not made it to the finals. I voted for them because it's one of my favourite songs this year. Congratulations for a beautiful song and beautiful voice, from Romania.
Hi, im Yulia from Indonesia. I used to listen this song since 2013. Even i try to sing with the Finnish lyric that i could easily follow. Love this song so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice to hear that you like it but this is actually not Finnish, but Swedish :) She sings in a Finland-Swedish dialect spoken in Finland (which is a bilingual country)
She is not from Sweden. She's from Sjundeå/Siunto in Uusimaa/Nyland, Suomi/Finland. Her first language is Swedish, but she speaks Finnish quite well. Nationality: Finnish. Language identity: Finland-Swedish, although the terminology can vary depending on who you ask. Some say Swedish-speaking Finn.
I like when a country sends someone who sings in that country's language, which Finland has done here. As a Swede I think that Fino-Swedish is the most beautiful form of Swedish out there! :)
Love it :) It's rare to find countries who sing in their own language. I don't understand why everyone now sings in english....that's sad because so the countries can't present their culture and that is what the ESC was about when it started :/
I can't understand how some Finnish people are angry about the fact of singing in Swedish. You should be proud about respecting all cultures that build your country. I'm from Spain and I would like to see us doing the same, but for example, last year Lucia Perez wanted to sing a bit of her song in Galician (her home-language, similar to Portuguese), but our TV didn't let her. In 1969, we won with "la, la, la". That was a Catalan song but they forbid that language. So you should be proud!

That's very typical of Finnish-Swedish :-) And Maxim99551 definitely makes a good point about Finnish-Swedish missing that cadence and rhythm that Swedes apply to the language. Also, this probably isn't true to all Finns (it could just be my imagination haha) but I've heard many Swedish speaking Finns pronounce "å" a little bit off. To me it sounds a bit muffled and not quite as clear and definite a sound as when a Swede says it. But again, that may well be me imagining things :-D

This song was so underrated. Brave choice from findland. I like the scandinavian/nordic feel that it has. Im danish so i understand the lyrics.
