The phrase from 0:18 - 0:23 is so spot on tonally and theoretically, right at 0:20 is just so damn pleasing to the ear. Makes me do some kind of weird musical enjoyment face expression every time
It is a damn shame more people didn't get a chance to play this game. Hopefully it gets more recognition as time goes on; it is a great game with a beautiful soundtrack.

I'd say it's definitely in the top 3 or 4. I would rank the overworld and underworld themes higher. Then there's Elle's theme, and the ending theme, and... damn this game is full of beautiful songs!
Always thought those sailors were wearing pyjamas. Well, it can be indicated since the music of the port is so dreamy that it wants the player to put on their pyjamas as well. Oh well, time to go to bed for me.

The first time this song plays in the game is when you reach the east side of north america, and I find it kind of cool that the first bar of this song resembles the first bar of the canadian national anthem.....just a sad sounding version of it.
I love this song. I would always pause the game and just listen to it as it feels so relaxing~ But I have a question: I own the game for quite some time and played it countless times, but this version with the guitar only appeared to me in one or two files I saved. The other times, the guitar never appeared. Has anyone else experienced this?
ich hab von jemandem gehört dass er auf der gamesconvention war und das dort erfahren hat (dieser jemand hat auch gesagt dass es januar 2009 rauskommen müsste) also ich fänds cool wenn ein remake von terranigma bald rauskommen würde.........da muss man halt abwarten
@arthaxx het is goed zo. een vervolg is niet nodig, want alles is zoals het gepland is. Als er een vervolg komt, is het dat ark unsealed is, en dat hij nu de wereld maakt zoals hij hoort te zijn. Misschien wel de weg zoals beruga, want alleen zo kan de aarde blijven bestaan

I agree they were great but in different ways, chrono trigger takes first place, but terranigma had it's own amazingness to it, almost a complex tie, but trigger was too good...

@@squick1842 If you want the best quality your best bet is getting the original SPC audio files straight from the game. There are some sites where you can download those for all kinds of games. Then there's a soundtrack for the game called "Tenchi Souzou Creative Soundtracks " but sadly it misses quite a few songs including this one.
Amazing about these games is that they leave you some space for your own fantasy. It's more like a book with wonderful music.

This song always emanated the portuguese "saudade" to me.

Raiigen That happens if you set the sound to STEREO on an old TV that can support it. Set it to MONO in settings and the guitar will be there!
