You are so gifted Heidi, love those cute little animal hats. Your grandbabies will be spoiled for sure, you making all those cute things, blessings dear friend
Hi Heidi, This was so clever. Thanks for showing us how to do this. Also, I have to say that those hats and animals were adorable!! You are SO talented! Love, Mary❤️😘❤️
I want to get back into making the animal hats again, maybe in the fall. They are all my own patterns and I have made so many different kinds just making them us as I go :D
That's a cool idea...I like watching your videos you are so resourceful like myself....I've made Paper ones a lot where I just fold the yarn in paper Small enough to go through the needle. I finally broke down and bought some metal ones. But I like your idea better, definitely going to do this! Thanks!!
Again, GREAT VIDEO! I usually just use a lot of "EYE STRAIN!"...Thank you, Heidi! Such a blessing, learn..learn...learn..pass along knowledge...Blessings from Rich & Dawn in MN :)
I made two threaders out of thin paper clips. I straightened one end out the best I could after I checked to see if it would fit. Then I bent the end down making a hook. They worked out for me. Your idea sounds like it would be great too.
What super idea! Boy do I hear you on the readers. I'm trying to get use to having mine with me if we leave the house. That's the worst. I feel blind trying to read a dinner menu. Ugh.. I just had to buy a pack of sewing needle threaders. They're so little I can barely see them with my glasses.
LOVE this idea.... cheap, quick & easy!👍 I'm gonna use bright pink fluoro tape so I can find it easily!😉 When I need a threader I'll often use a thin bit of paper that works well too, but this is wayyyyyyy better!👏 Thanks for the tip!🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
BRILLIANT. This is so wonderful. My husband came up with a method for me where I use one of his floss threaders for his bridge. That also works for beading.
I think threaders are "junk" too, in fact I never could use them.. But I make mine out of dental floss.. BUT- LOL about the duct tape.. You are using the good stuff too. I make my own thimbles out of duct tape. The only things that work for me. Thanks for sharing..
Heidi do you have a video on just crocheting a basic circle? I'm trying to make a scrubby for my mom using tulle. I've looked at other videos and I get lost. You have a great way of explaining things.
Depends on how thin the needle, if you are trying to pull yarn through a needle, it is only going to fit through certain ones. Now if you are using a fine yarn, like a floss, then yes
I can't thank you enough for this tip. First try and it worked. You just saved me so much money. Thank you, thank you, and thank you 😊

Yep. Great idea. Much better than those little bits of metal or plastic. Thanks, Heidi.

Your timing is impeccable! I’m crocheting a baby blanket for my grandson due in October and that will come in handy

No I don't but it would not be a bad idea to do one at some point
@@RainCountryHomestead I would appreciate it
Genious!
True prepper version. Lol
Would this work for a finer needle and thinner thread?
Depends on how thin the needle, if you are trying to pull yarn through a needle, it is only going to fit through certain ones. Now if you are using a fine yarn, like a floss, then yes
The thinner string was too weak, it broke. 😕
You mean you tried thinner string? The string I used here did not break so I am not sure what you are talking about
