I got my dog Jinny as a puppy, I suspect she was only 6 weeks old. Her mother was a German Shepard and her dad was unknown (but obviously a Border Collie). She was the most intelligent dog I have ever had. It only took her 2 weeks to learn all the usual tricks Sit, Down, Stay, Shake, Roll Over, Back, Fetch and Drop. She would sit automatically at the edge of pavements and wait to be told it was safe to cross. When she grew big enough she would race to press the button for the pedestrian crossing - she was a wonderful dog. She lived to please. I had her for nearly 17 years. Its never long enough and they certainly do leave massive dog shaped holes in your heart when they have gone.
great story about Bessie. Loved hearing it. Thank you. We have two rescue cats. They are brothers and both are blind in one eye - injury from infection when they were kittens. We knew that they had a very low chance of being adopted and we knew that they would be a great addition to our family. So we named them Hawkeye and Sniper and they have brought us nothing but love and laughter for the past 4 years. Everyone should go rescue and be rescued by a rescue pet.
What a lovely story about Beautiful Bessie ❤❤ im sure she knows how blessed she is to be with you guys in Palace do Trav. ❤❤although i for one can not wait to find out why FootFoot is called FootFoot 😃😃 i believe that you can 'read' a dog by their eyes and behaviour and give tgem what they need so easily...thus giving us so much more in return ❤❤ they bring so much love with them i cant help but make a fuss of EVERY dog i get near... leading to never getting anywhere on time 😂😂
I had to click on you video as Bessie looks so much like my dog Baguette. Even with the long pointed ears. Baguette is 75% mini fox terrier and 25% unknown. But most probably daschund, with her short legs and long body 😅
I have had several cats, but I'm not a specific cat person. I really like all animals. For now, a cat is just the most practical for me, but I've almost adopted a malamut. I really fell in love with that dog. Unfortunately the owner sold her before i knew she would get rid of her😢

I got my own dog as a puppy from a breeder on OLX. Supposedly a pedigree min-dachshund, she cost me 700 Euro. As she grew up, it became evident that she was a cross (probably with a pinscher). The seller vanished, deleting her OLX account and changing phone numbers. I assume she stung everyone who bought various members of the litter in the same way. Anyway, I am delighted with the dog. She is much loved. Based on your experience and my own, I am thinking that the people involved in the pet industry in Portugal (and elsewhere) are perhaps not paragons of virtue and probity.
👍I hated cats, then the ex who had insisted on a cat cause she always had one, mittens, it always came to me and sat on my knee, I was always first up, didn't like the present it left me every morning, loved it
