At 1:10 Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley speaks about the blessings and potential of Alfred Street Baptist Church to do great things in honor of God. He goes on to reminds us that whenever we are on the road to do great things Satan will try to bring distractions.
Satan distracted Moses with Miriam's death and he also distracted Sha'Carri with the death of her mother. In both examples two highly favored individuals were consumed by grief that clouded their judgement. As a result, they both fell short of what could have been.
I believe that even when you are feeling as blessed and favored as Alfred Street Baptist Church, Moses, or Sha'Carri, we should remain humble and trust in the Lord. Satan will try to lead you astray.

Me from sunny South Africa has been hooked on Dr Wesley for about four years now. Hopefully one day my dream of watching and listening to him live in person will be realised. Working on it. Oh that "Get Over It" sermon does things to me. Watched it so many times.
I had wished for him on this particular crime and punishment sermon to go deep into how and why Aaron got affected by the punishment because he isn't the one who struck the rock, Moses did. Was it crime and punishment by association same as the cigarette smoke from the deacon?

I need to listen to this again because the pastor is saying we/you/I am Moses but throughout the entire sermon I kept thinking that in this example, I’m the Israelite and now that there are a few centuries of space to retrospectively look at my own behavior… they/we/I am just as bad as Moses.
Let me explain my thought: Pastor John-Howard Wesley, you’re just a man. You’re dust and clay just like us/me yet we expect you to bring us water from the rock every time you speak or you’re near. That ain’t cool. It ain’t right. So, as a satellite member, I want to tell you thank you and to forgive us because I know how parishioners are/can be. You have a big task on your shoulders at ALL times and that is to represent God as best as you can and the moment you slip one of us Israelites will call you out or attempt to drag you down because we’re really mad at God but you’re the closest representative we/I have. So, I got the message in always giving God his due credit but I also took away that although Moses was blessed with A LOT of power and glory, he was still just dust and clay and they/we/I pushed Moses to a place so filled with anger and confusion that he forgot what he was (a man, dust and clay) and whose he was and who he was representing.
I don’t want to be a part of that for anyone; I don’t want to be a link in the chain that keeps you/y’all/them from the Promised Land.

This man seems to be an activist that uses the Bible to get out his ideology. Sorry, I didn't make it past the ridiculous introduction. A black sister has the rules applied to her because of her skin color, not because of her actions. Really? Did they just recently write that rule? He even downplayed her actions. "All she did was smoke a little weed", he said. Why did he justify her actions? Well, he even relies upon alcohol when times get tough. Got it. Moving on.
Its too bad he doesn't believe God.
Thinkin about it more. GOD was never going to kill the Israelites (I mean, He ain’t a liar so He probably was FrFr) but he wanted to keep that lesson on record to demonstrate mercy is ALWAYS possible and acceptable. Moses, was the only one given such insight into God’s mercy at that time and he refused to demonstrate what he had learned during his time with God.
I can’t escape the fact that in the story the Israelites were/are complicit. I know they got their punishment but still, if they’re a Body representing God then they had a duty to help their neighbors keep their faith and to strengthen their own. At least try.
Hindsight, especially when it’s not your real life, is 20/20 but I can’t help knowing that I am the Israelites.
God, I don’t want to be a part of messing up someone’s admission into their Promised Land. Remove me before I become a distraction.

Islam mean > submission < to God

* The Quran ONLY guides you how to become a good human being " Nothing Else ".
* You are a good human being or a bad human being that is YOUR choice.
* No one can force you to become a good human being.
* You MUST work HARD to become a good human being.
* Why should '' YOU '' do good deeds and avoid bad deeds?
* Do Good - it's for You. Do Bad - It's against you.
* '' YOUR '' life is a TEST from God that you will choose to do either Good or Bad.
* Find the excuse to help others and forgive others NOT the other way around.
* '' YOUR '' final destination is either Hell or Heaven.
* So work HARD toward choice of YOUR destination.
