The chain only works on calm gentle to slightly frustrated cattle. If you have some ruff stock .......they will break your hand to get that close to their head to hook it up and even if you hook it up correctly , they can get it off with little effort. It is a very poor design..Priefert please come up with a fix! They know it is a problem just like the gap in the very front that will hang up your cattles feet and brake a leg on occasion. I did come up with my own fix for this and the Priefert distributer took a picture to try to get it corrected on new units. I like my chute but it is for gentle cattle.
