@@Joaopedro-fs8rl Been thinking about doing some auth stuff-all my web apps (Chris Courses / MapperMate) are custom coded auth. Pretty nice to have so you don't have to pay some third party service. Think I can make it happen!
I just learned about this channel through some old videos and was thinking about how sad it was that there isn't any new content, and I come back from vacation to a new vid? Everything's coming up Milhouse baby!
Oh.. I just refreshed my memory with the space invaders course from udemy last week.. and now i get to do a side scroll 2d platformer again like that vertical platformer again! You're the best ❤
@@ChrisCourses Maybe a stardew valley (farming type game) or like a enter the gungeon (tactical shooter type game). Those would be really cool! Those are my suggestions for genres of games. I know you do games mostly in Javascript and thats awesome but maybe try another language/framework like python pygame etc just a suggestion though! I loved the tutorial you made on the pokemon game too thanks as always Chris.
@@samincgs Oh Stardew Valley would actually be pretty sick. I think that'd be a great one to do 🙏🙏 Tactical shooter would also be fun, I'm probably better at coding those overall. huge thanks for the suggestions, these are great
I didn't see anything in your 20 second intro that distinguished it as a DKC-like. The most distinct aspect of that game, I would say, is the roll over an edge and jump mid-air feature.
yeah not exact, that's the most well-known game i could draw comparisons to with the x/y camera movement, collectibles, and enemies. working on some roll features next actually for the premium version-loving how the controls are turning out on this tutorial
@@ChrisCourses Dude I’d be willing to help anyway I can! I think if you converted the project to React Native, you could deploy it. No easy task though 😅
@@AaronAsherRandall yeah for sure, especially cause I'm a vue guy too hahah I'll figure it out at some point, i really like how the movement for this game came out, so am looking into how i can get it controlled via a controller and run it on my TV
yeah all javascript (node backend)-used nuxt 3 and mysql mostly. was a huge project, so i don't plan on doing a vid directly on it, but maybe some auth stuff that people would find helpful for creating user accounts etc
just easier to get going on the core concepts without it-def recommend using it for any serious game though, would've been handy in more than a few spots here!
Just opened your youtube page to check if there are any new vids and I see this come out an hour ago! Glad you are back!
love to hear it. Anything in particular you’d like to see coming up?
@@ChrisCourses More about multiplayer things please!!
@@ChrisCourses Also about accounts and passwords (how to log in and log out) hashing passwords, where we can store them, etc...

Dude your videos are amazing! Curious, could you deploy this to the Google Play or Apple App Store as is?
not that im aware of at the moment, but i'd love to figure out how to get these games over on the app stores. definitely a good future topic 🙏

Hey Chris. Let’s pay a monthly fee to access your gaming courses. Is that doable?
have it set up over on chriscourses.com, have a lot of premium content only available there if you'd like to check it out 🙏
