- The Chicago Bears have traded the number one pick to the Carolina Panthers for DJ More and a haul of picks. Tom Waddle, Marc Silverman and Robery Mays breakdown the trade.
The Bears have to get Lovie to announce one of our picks. That would be iconic
Lol, that would be a HUGE slap in the Texans face.
Yes!!! GREAT IDEA 💡 #LegendaryLovie
He’s done more for the city than the last 3 decades of mayors
@@Chitex03 yes. That’s the point Lolol
@@alcaldealer8515 ain’t that the truth!
SWEET HOME CHICAGO
THANK YOU LOVIE 😀
Panthers fan here, DJ Moore has the potential to be even better with a good Quarterback. Have to remember he was playing with trash like Mayfield and other 2-3 other Quarterbacks I can't even remember the names of and was productive. Hurts to see him go but I'm still a fan and I tell you what. It would not surprise me if Moore has 1200+ yards next year if the Bears passing game develops. Heck if Fields and Moore develop a connection I can see Moore becoming a 1500+ yard receiver even.
No offense but DUH. We had Allen Robinson who came from the crappy jags. It worked out well but not a homerun by any means. Bears never get the best out of their qbs and receivers….ever. Hopefully that trend changes
@@johnnychimpo7539 only time was when McCown lit it up with Marshall and Jeffery. That's actually the only time 🤣
Darnold? Cam? You a fan and don’t know them? Weird
There’s no such thing a fan sir
yeah no offense but, no shit
This trade is the absolute biggest best trade the Bears have ever made.❤
We’re getting Marvin Harrison jr next year…that panthers pick will be top 5
I need Marvin Harrison Jr on the Bears he is too good. I dont care if they give up 2 firsts next year if they need to.
Or you can fleece someone again next year! Caleb and Drake are better than this years QBs!
Marvin Harrison Jr 😍🤩🥰🤗
Fields to Harrison....sounds like Burrow to Chase.
@@scottwajda9542 exactly hopefully jr doesn’t get into any domestic problems like chase thoe lmao
Bears essentially got 3#1’s
Pretty awesome. I’m excited
AND that Panthers pick next sure will be top 5. You can fleece another team trying to get Caleb/Drake next year!
@robdaniel3211 that or keep it and draft Marvin Harrison Jr.
@@justinfox910exactly we need Marvin Harrison Jr
Bears got fleeced. Thank u from a seahawk fan for giving up on carter
We should start a gift registry for Lovie.
Next Year's 1st will probably be top 10, potentially top 5 . Insane compensation
Yeah next season is going to be fun! Rooting for Carolina losses ✅
Yeah, I’ll be following Carolina closely next year. I’ll be rooting hard against them with the same energy as I root against the Packers.
The panthers won’t give the bears a top 5 pick
@@Julio_Jones they might have.
@@youngsterjoey9038 look at who the panthers play next year they will not give the bears a top 10 pick
Lifelong Bears Alabama fan here. Slightly disappointed the Bears won’t get one of my Tide players. But I pretty much knew they wouldn’t anyway if they would have traded with the Colts. This is a fantastic deal for the Bears IF they don’t blow it and all of us Bear fans know they can absolutely blow it.
The amount of edge in this draft is nuts. Anderson, Murphy, and Wilson are all legit 1st rounders. After that Tuipilotu and McDonald are my favs in the 2nd. I wouldnt mind the Bears going Bijan if they dont keep Montgomery. An elite RB rated higher than Saquon or Elliot? Come on now...gimme gimme. Fix the OL and DL/LB in FA.
The problem is the Bears don’t pick again until the very end of the second round, and the top OL and edge rushers may be gone by then. The edge class is deep this year, but some of them are not a good fit for the Bears because they belong in a 3-4 scheme and they play standing up as opposed to their hands in the dirt. Some guys can transition, some can’t. We shall see. I hate being negative, but the ONE thing I hoped the Bears would get out of this trade is a pick in the middle of the second round at the latest. But pick #61 is basically in the third round. I bet most of the good value edge players and OL guys are gone by then. Gonna have to settle for guys that get 5 sacks per year at most, and that’s with luck.
I really hope the Bears can get someone who gets pressure in FA. They desperately need it, and the board may not be kind to them by the time they pick again in the third.
I’m on the Bijan train with the news of Moore.
lets get the LG & RT position settled next week and make a splash on DL
Taylor/kaleb powers/davis on the ol with jones and key on the dl then mayb edmunds/okereke/taylor/long at lb would really b great n fa
Best thing that could happen now is one of the 4 QB's left at #9 or Jalen Carter still there at #9. Huge trade Bait to trade down again. That or Witherspoon for CB hungry teams at 17, 21, and 22... Licking my chops to trade down again and get Nolan Smith or Lucas Van Ness in the late teens early 20's
I'm not against any of that. Also throw Gonzalez in that group , and Tyree if he is there is an auto draft for me
We not drafting a QB
@@nononono12345 how's your reading comprehension? 🤔
Absolutely nobody said or alluded to us drafting a QB. Trade bait.
The colts is punching Air right now 😂
13:02 yes! Tyree wilson could be there. The second best pass rusher. But i rather use the first two picks on linemen. I say they trade down a few spots again for an extra 3rd/4th rounder and take Calijad Kancey. Then you grab john michael schmitz in the second round along with a pass rusher or Jack campbell. Defense is deep in this draft. Now you have fixed BOTH your lines. Then draft backups on defense and RB and TE and more o-linemen
LETS. FUCKING. GO.
THANKS LOVIE.
That 2024 1 could be the first pick honestly.
If that happens, TRADE IT!
Yep! Top 5 for sure. If Fields falters, you can get Caleb/Drake. If Fields progresses as he should, you can fleece another team next year for Caleb/Drake…..both of whom would go first this year!
It's going to be fun to root against Carolina 😈
@@nohmers18 no. Pick MHJ
Hell no
I think it was a fair trade for both teams. Almost everyone thought the Bears were getting a crazy haul including a minimum of two future #1 picks and possibly a 3rd one... plus more lower picks. Panthers only had to give up one first rounder. Also IMO the Panthers got a little lucky the Bears put first round value on DJ Moore. If the Panthers had tried to separately trade DJ Moore for draft capital it's pretty doubtful they get a 1st round pick for him considering he's a year three player.
What are you talking about?! From the onset, Moore was the cornerstone of this trade. Moore is worth more than a single 1st round pick with his team friendly contract. If you were to try to trade for Moore, it would take a 1st and a later pick. We got a HAUL and Bears fans should all see Poles as a Guru after this trade.
Moore is borderline as good as AJ Brown and you saw what was given up for him.
Insanely lucky to have Robert Mays on when this happens. Love it.
Yes we finally got us a receiver DJ Moore
Poles bucket. Kancey, Carter, Murphy, Tyree, Anderson. Those 5 DL. If 4 QB top go 4. Your guarteed 1 of them guys will be there. If 1 of the 4 QB is at 9, you can add a 2nd moving to 11 w/Tenn of another 1st moving to 16 w/Washington, 1st and 3rd moving w/TB.
Robert Mays already rules and now a NIN shirt too?!?!
Love to get Paris Johnson LT total stud
Bears offensive line has always been a weakness for the Bears. Oh the possibilities of they finally fix it…
So with the pickup of DJ Moore, does this mean now the Bears have less to work with in free agency? If they had $100 million before, they now have about $80 million.
That’s right, it is down to about $75M which still seems like a lot but they have 20 free agents, none of which are good enough to keep, plus 20 other roster spots that need upgrades. Also nobody is reporting that Moore has an opt out after this year, which means that the top 3 WRs plus the starting TE right now are in line to be free agents after this season. Unless Moore gets hurt or busts, which would not be good because the team would be locked into an unproductive player for 2 years. This is going to be a long rebuild. So far we have 1 extra pick this year, which is out of the top 60 despite controlling the board. If we hit on all the picks it may turn out well but we won’t know for a few years.
A lockdown corner is among the most valuable positions in this era. Would drafting Gonzalez or Witherspoon at #9 be crazy? I'm sure many would not be happy at 1st. Just like last year 2 picks.... but imagine adding Sauce Gardner type 2 our secondary and filling OL/DL with next 3 second rounders.
Possibly but both lines and linebacker and edge are bigger needs than secondary for Bears but wouldn't mind a CB.
Elite corners are valuable but EDGE and OT are even more valuable, they hit free agency less often and cost more. I would rather get Paris Johnson, Skowrownski, Nolan smith, or Tyree Wilson. And if multiple of those guys are available at 9, drop back a couple spots and grab whoever’s left.
However, KC is letting Orlando Brown hit free agency for some reason, so if we sign him I would be more willing to pick a CB if the top EDGE are gone.
Poles has not lied to the fans a single time... He has done what he said he was gonna do since his first day here ... The surprise of him not lying has no merit... He's different
Bears have a long way to go on defense. Their offense is already much improved with DJ. Draft OL, DL and corner. Also draft a mid round QB who can run for when Fields gets injured again. It will happen.
Yes they need to draft and develop a QB. All this is for shit if Fields tears his ACL or something
Chase swears he’s a top 5 receiver. He better back that up. I wouldn’t mind taking JSN IF they fix the lines in FA (and of course during the draft)
Forget what Kancey tested, watch the tape!!!
The Panthers trade their best offensive player and will probably end up picking Will Levis. Who is Sam Darnold. Who is already their qb.
Let’s gooooo!!!!!
I think they will draft OT or DB
Fields throwing to Moore, Mooney, Claypool, and Klmet. If the O-Line holds up and they can find a serviceable RB, this could be a decent offense.
*elite
Congrats Bears Fans, DJ is a great receiver, and he had 1,000 yd seasons without a good QB. Was a good cost for our Franchise QB, but I don’t think Carolina traded to #1 to take Richardson there. I think they want CJ, who is more ready to go. But who knows I might be wrong.
Carolina could have had Fields, DJ Moore, CMC, and all the picks they gave up to us. Instead they have Jaycee Horn, probably Stroud, and some picks from the 49ers. Let that sink in!
You guys gave up a lot by adding Moore but you’ll be alright! Those picks from the 49ers will help you! Hope you all get your QB
@@robdaniel3211 That's why that guy in Nebraska is no longer coach. Lol
Thank God he's gone. Tepper was too nice to let him start his 3rd Season.
@@247Lilboy Thanks, Good Luck to your Bears 🤝
I'm actually looking forward now to 2024. The Bears could easily have Carolina's 2024 draft pick of 1.01-1.05.
Bears 2024 will likely be the year of the Bears Defensive Draft.
The BEARS dynasty begins...
BEAR DOWN !!!
So the panthers couldn't give the Ravens the two first round picks and take lamar Jackson rather than giving up all these picks plus a good WR's, you are going to get LJ and you keep your WR to go with LJ.
LJ wants all the big money. After paying him you can't pay anyone. They might have to call you and ask you to put on some pads.
LJ turned down $250M over 6 years.
Carolina could have had Fields, DJ Moore, CMC, and all the picks they gave up to us. Instead they have Jaycee Horn, probably Stroud, and some picks from the 49ers. Let that sink in!
@@moneyfishing4916 no one knows how much money LJ want everyone is just guessing just like you doing right now Kyler Murray get 189 for instance.
bears receivers are now Aldi, good enough
bears 2024 pick from carolina may be a top 1-5 pick
It won’t be
does this help mooney I think so....but we dont need all speed and no size vs....all size and no speed...all I know is we need to draft all defense and stay young at that .....i would trade back one more time...get a LB and a Safety....then get edge help with FA....do we get Orlando brown....i dont think so but shoot your shot
Clay pool is the first signing of the year
🐻 DOWN
😒 the Bears Defense got worse in 2022 and has to be rebuilt a lot, and Fields is a gamble on whether he can be a consistent pass-throwing QB, instead of the Bears' best running back. DJ Moore put up solid WR numbers, even though he has had low quality QBs: declining Newton, backups Allen, Bridgewater, Darnold, Mayfield, and Walker, and now erratic Fields.
Lets go baby
Who is this guy on the right? "What is the 61st pick?" "Is DJ Moore a number 1?" Like does he watch football? Does he know how many picks there are per round and do quick math in his head?
Carolina did not trade up to No. 1 to draft Anthony Richardson. They will draft either Bryce Young or CJ Stroud.
Brilliant insight 🤦
I see the bears taking Paris Johnson
Give us JSN
Carolina wont have any receivers, so next years pick can be a high one also!
You wish
Multiple First rounds? Lol. Just a swap and one next year
Seattle is taking Jalen Carter
Bears NEED to address the offensive line for the first time in 40 years- from crap owners and address their Swiss cheese of a defense…then talk about post season….
I predict da bears draft the o-lineman from Tennessee 😂
Take Carter if he falls to 9. Don't let him drive on the Dan Ryan.
I can't see any scenario where Carter or Will Anderson fall to 9. They'd have to trade back up.
Stop putting out yet another doubt about our QB. I swear people won’t stop unless the qb spot fits their ideal instead of what’s relevant.
Panthers get a qb. Nothing else.
🐻⬇️
It’s one number one… it’s just a swap in 2023.
Sign dremont jones and draft miles Murphy at 9 🙏
Its ok but really a little disappointed thought they could of made smaller moves and stayed in the top 5.
The Panthers likely could’ve drafted Richardson at number nine anyway if they draft him at one that is laughable
I hope they draft Richardson. We own their 2024 1st. Could be 1st overall.
@@scottwajda9542 Not likely just because the NFC South is so bad. They'll get a few division wins by default.
🐻 🔽
Anthony Richardson...That's a foolish take.
Looks like Tepper never got over that bonehead stunt Moore pulled that lost the game by taking his helmet off after making the game winning touchdown catch last season. 🤣
“They are getting dj Moore who we talked about a lot”
What’s the point of this statement? Dj the guy we talked about a lot who was trash in Carolina and not fantasy relevant?
I don't understand,u saying dj Moore was trash how?,What are u talking about
Da Bears could have a future HoF Center/Guard/Tackle/TE/Short Yardage RB like Skoronski and a future HoF WR like Marvin Harrison Jr next year but unfortunately they don't believe in scoring points on offense by surrounding Fields with offensive talent. Instead they will probably draft an overrated DT/Street Racer out of Georgia that averaged 3 sacks a season and then end up trading for another starting QB next year because Fields is probably going to request a trade or get a serious injury. Fields has been running for his life every play because he has no offensive support so why would he want to ruin his career continuing to do it because Da Bears are hanging him out to dry do to their incompetence?
Nice
Please not to be Debbie downer or jerk face. But please Bears fans multi draft choices are great but there only good. If you draft good football players.
