I like how Scroops design makes him stand out from the crew. The rest of the aliens are all coloured with the same grey and seem to just blend in with each other despite having different appearances. Scroop on the other hand is coloured black and red with a purple vest and a brown cap. There are also his burning yellow eyes and his fangs. He is also a combination of a spider and a crab.

Pay attention to Scroop's face from 1:11 onwards. Annoance, confusion, realisation, fear, and pain. All within a few seconds and easily distinguishable. The artists that worked on him did an amazing job.

A little early for mutiny, don't you think? They had a good captain, the kid with the map and the doctor who was capable of reading it. Anyone notice the superb attention to mechanical detail with Silver's arm? Right when he squeezes Scroops' wrist, it doesn't articulate like a hinge, it slides down with a gear mechanism, akin to Lego Technic functions. They can easily go one way but they went the other and really pushed the creative envelope with his appendage :3
It's probably made easier by the fact the mechanical arm was actually animated in 3D, which should help for this kind of detail. The whole movie was a 3D/2D hybrid, which is why it costed so much... and never got a sequel (although, it did get some video game love back in the day)

I love the wackiness and zaniness of the aliens in this movie. One has two separate aliens that operate in tandem as head and body, one has its eyes in its mouth, along with a slug-like alien that also serves as its tongue, and one can only speak by making fart noises, which also happens to be a language.

Like hes got the multiple sides and everything. I can't express with words how much I appreciate this piece of media. It was ahead of its time and deserves so much more recognition.

By judging the look on Mr. Arrow’s face when he turned his attention to Scroop, I’d say that he knew that Scroop was the one who started the whole thing.
I liked this movie when I was little.
This is one of my favorite Disney movies really underrated and for a movie that came out in 2002 the animation holds up
