    Wish I could show you my tie. I didn't have the chenille legs so I used thin grizzly hackles as the back legs and I cut claw shapes out of mallard feathers. Thanks for the video!

    Very very cool crab imitation. I like the ease of tying. Most require many pieces of cross wrapped fibers. Lots of work to cut it off. All the best to you and thanks for sharing that pattern. Sean

      +Sean Mooney Thanks Sean it's a really nice little pattern. If tying a few I like to leave all the trimming till the end for consistency and speed.

    Thanks for the video Martyn! One tip for your viewers. Anything that eats a crab has a hard mouth. Strip strike THREE TIMES for a good hook set.

    Thanks Martyn! Nice pattern. I'll try this on some freshwater fish---I live about 1000 miles from saltwater. :-)). Thanks again.

    Hi Martyn. Ever put hot wax on your crab legs? They stay in shape for a long time. Think's again. 👍

    I wish I had some of those eyes. I have everything else. I might Jerry rig something.

      Burn some heavy nylon with a lighter and dip it in epoxy or varnish.

      @@flickingfeathers I was going to tie some hollow eggs to pieces of wire. That's a good idea too though.

    Doesn't it float with the deer hair?

    • @flickingfeathers
      @flickingfeathers  2 роки тому

      No, there's too little hair to float the weight, but just enough to make it alway fish the right way up.
      Don't pack a lot of deer hair on it
