Hey River, curious why not tighten the drag when reeling back in? Sounds pretty lose. I usually just tighten it up all the way so the fish won't be able to pull.
So my powerbait rod is a 25$ ultralight diawa rod. And the other one is a rays fishing rod”sensation”$70 with a pisifun carbon x 1000. And I use 4lb floro for the lure rod, and 2lb for my powerbait
Nice job fishy, I fished and caught only one small Lassen around 4:15pm. Next time I’ll try moving spots like you and I think I should get a fresh jar of yellow power bait👍

How far in is that spot
So the first spot is a little bit of a walk, sadly I can’t tell you the spot I caught 3 since it is more of a secret spot. But it is near the narrows
