This had a very professional feel about it, really well produced. The main character was easy to relate too and believable. This played out perfectly given the general nature of abductions and was actually convincing as one possible event. Great stuff.
Immediately after the "orb" disappeared, you could tell it was a high-powered, multi-bulbed, square light, and see it in the shadows still in the shot at the right. The room you had your abductees in looked like an ordinary concrete basement, with electrical piping visible. You should've made at least some effort to disguise it to make it look less like something from Earth. It's doable, even on a budget. The blue lighting was a good idea, gave your alien nice, creepy shadows, even though I could tell it was just a guy with rubber gloves and a mask. Clip your pacing a little bit to speed things up. You have your character doing nothing for too much of the short. The length of each scene was too long to maintain tension. The lead up that got your character curious--the weird noise--was really cool. I liked that bit, and your sound-design was good stuff. Keep up the good work, you guys! This was a neat little short.
The algorithm sent me. I watched and left a response. I'm not a film or theater geek ... [wishes I could leave some constructive after watching the short]
🟦... Fairly well done,...(whatEver was meant by it),..it looked reasonably worked-out technically and yet story-wise it brought absolutely Nothing to the table. Yuh gots everything ELSE that You seem to require,..now you just need a DECENT STORY! ..... Good Luck! (and I Mean that!).
Loved the orb in the field! I've been wanting people to make sci-fi films just like this. About orbs! But not the uber-holyywood crap. I liked it!
Few films have great sound, This One does ! JBL Tour One M2
