The difference is the recent TYPE of 3d animation is more obvious and is whats popular rn but its slowly changing and evolving to masterpieces like spiderverse and puss in boots. Another big factor is how things are animated, there can be bad 2D and bad 3D animation.

As a Muslim, we have a similar story where Moses did free his people and did split the red sea by two and was actually put in a casket in a river by his mother who put her trust in god and was promised to see him once and more and she did.
