    Christmas Day has arrived! Can't wait to try this feature out and it means I can now say goodbye to the other notation software (named after a Finnish composer) I've been using to capture real-time MIDI. Thank you!

    Yes, this is what I have been waiting for. Getting closer to replacing Logic Pro X as my main composition tool. I would love to see Dorico integrated into Cubase somehow, like Logic's score editor. Then I would be able to get rid of Apple completely :)

    • @dorico
      @dorico  5 років тому

      That's just the way Anthony's voice is - although we probably didn't presume most people would have full-range studio monitors. Hopefully you also have the technology to EQ the bass too?

      @paolotramannoni7445 5 років тому

    I would love to compose mainly in Dorico, without having to switch to a DAW too much. Compose with lower quality samples for speed (I work on a 8GB Ram laptop) with the option for a high resolution mockup rendering once the composition process is complete?

    • @dorico
      @dorico  2 роки тому +1

      You can use playback templates to switch between different libraries/options if that would help. I'd recommend you look at NotePerformer.com too as it's very lightweight but sounds great with a notation program and integrates well with Dorico.

    With all the complexities it is almost like it was designed to be used by a programmer. I come from all the major notation programs but right now StaffPad gives me hope for the future simply because it is close to what composers do: think and write!

      You can change the tempo of the score either with tempo and rit etc markings in the score, or by using the 'time' lane in Play mode where you can use a pencil or line tools to draw in the tempo you require at any point.
