Modern BMWs have much more/better tech in them and are much faster top speed wise and acceleration wise and have better fuel economy doing all that too. Is your only argument 'it has a big engine'? It might never come back due to regulations and stuff like that (CO2 emissions blablablaa...) that's why the M5 dropped from V10 to V8 and the M3 from V8 to Inline6 . The 7 series is the only BMW as far as I remember that still come with a huge V12 :/ Rip BMW golden era

Best car? Sure if you count rod bearings and the Vanos pump grenading the engine then sure best car. If you have to thousands needed to keep the car running then sure its an okay car. The transmission is still horribly aggressive and for a “luxury” car, you’d want smoother shifts.
Friend of mine had an m5 e60. What can I say, the best M car ever produced, pure engineering masterpiece. But unfortunately, he broke it down, the rod bearings, reving too much on cold start or driving aggressively when the oil or the temperature isn't on the proper value, these cars aren't meant for everybody.

Big common problem in Germany right now. Stupid people are lazy and stay on the middle lane. They force other small and slow cars to use the left lane. That slows down the traffic and causes rear-end collisions. It's forbidden in Germany to overtake on the right lane, but sometimes you have so much space there, because some stupid idiots block the middle lane, that more and more people try it on the right, what also the cause of accidents again. You have no Speed limits in Germany, theoretically ... Good old times are over, stupidity is increasing!

I still come here to listen to this monster. Nothing compares to the sound and now that even the humble V8 is dying out in favor of turbo V6 and I4 engines and eventually EV cars. In another decade, V10 will only live on through audio files and speakers.

I doubt HE broke it down. The car just breaks. Rod bearings getting messed up, is a flaw with the car itself, not the drivers.
