Yeah like supporting someone else dulls there success. Jealousy is the main reason instead of putting the same focus doing it themselves realizing they can do it too it’s just easier for them to be ignorant.
With all due respect, if people aren’t responding to your social media posts that doesn’t mean they’re actively ignoring you. People have their own lives and social media is an information overload. Most people are simply not thinking about you.
After many years of me just floating through life I finally knuckled down and I worked extra hard, I paid my bills off early, I saved and invested wisely and I tried to do the right thing everyday. As a result of my efforts my life became so much better. I tried to share my new found ideas with people and several of them turned against me. They stayed away from me and I found out some of them were spreading vicious rumors about me. Old friends that I have known for decades now want to see me fail. Some are happy for me and they don't ask anything from me. I now know who my true friends are.
Late 20s. Lost my job. Live with toxic family who want to always bring me down. Countless fake friends who come and go and always want me to fail. I’m alone. I’ve been here before too during college. I’m trying to start my own business instead of working for someone else ever again. Hopefully it goes well, though there’s countless in my way trying to bring me down. It’s just tough. It’s lonely. Maybe I’ll be able to come back to this comment in a year with a positive update. Idk
Hey! First of all stay away from the toxic people, even it's your family. Draw a line with the past and take full responsibility for your life from now on. Once you start moving forward, they will change their attude towards you. Of course there will be some people, who regardless of your success ( big or small) will try to diminish whatever you have done, but you need to ignore them and do your thing. The more you succeed, the more they will be pissed off :)

I had friends and a now ex boyfriend who don't want me to change for the better because I have a disability and I would be easier to control. My ex boyfriend wanted me to stay fat and not lose weight because he thought I wanted other men's attention. So-called friends only liked me as long as they thought they were superior to me . I don't need that negativity
İt's weird. İ started working for a guy who's 30 years older. İ was on a really bad point in my life and i needed his help at the time. İ tried to be aware of his effort and appreciate and pay it back as much as possible. But i realised that he kind of wanted to keep me in that spot. He failed to realise that i would eventually change. İ was always aware of it and thought he was too since he was older. My plan was to help him go where he wanted to in order to pay the favor back but he didn't wanna go anywhere and he didn't want me to go anywhere. And the interesting part is he wasn't in a place where he wanted or enjoyed. He kept talking and dreaming about the things he wanted to do in life but didn't even move an inch. He actually had a small restaurant business that only had 4 tables at a corner and he had it for 15+ years. And until i brought up the idea he either paid someone or spent an hour washing the dishes by hand in that small crappy kitchen. İ don't get it. İ just don't. İf you don't like something and you can change it, why don't you ? This guy had money after all. And some people are disabled, they cannot change anything.
One reason as to why people do not want for you to succeed in life, is because of their personal need for control. Sounds silly, right? Most of the time, when other's see you doing "better" than them, it gives them a sense of discouragement. They fear that your success, will change the perceived views of the outside world-regarding their own success. This behavior tends to happen with those closest to us such as friends, family, co-workers, and so forth. When people have set expectations of who they "think" we are, or what they "think" we are capable of accomplishing, it makes sense as to why they would respond in a negative manner when we exceed those expectations. People you are describing are the people who live through others not for themselves. They are most concerned about others opinions on them so they try to control every interaction with people every aspect of their life including your opinion on them. They want everything nice and predictable. These people also have made up a worse version about you in their mind so that they can feel better around you. So when they see you actually change for better it becomes such a gap with the real you and their vision of who you are to them they panic. When you start to change they panic because they suddenly cant foresee how you view them. And it starts to crumble that lie they've made about you in their mind in order for them to just feel better about themselves. They then have to start to realize the fact that they make up lies to feel better and this makes them very unhappy and you are the reason they are waking up so they start to hate you. You are waking them up to reality and they dont want to wake up. The strong ones who see you changing for the better see that you are striving for better life and truth will come onboard team up with you and want to see you succeed with them. Share strories on how to better yourself. These are the people you want around you. Unfortunately they are rare

the problem with that theory is, you have to succeed before people from your "support system" actually support you. that's a faulty support system imo. people don't like change and don't care about you is what i'd say
Just like my doula loves to help out yet, after I tell her I want to move out of my situation; she tells me about her business but, doesn't help me start with my own business. She tells me that I have to accept where I'm at even if I'm going through it. And how accepting the fact that I can't get my car in order to make more money. Basically, she wants me to improve myself and find jobs etc.. however, I chose a different route not closest to her norm and tells me to accept where I'm at as if I'm suppose to be stuck with her helping me.. My mind refuses that..
This happen to me. I got chance to go on big cruiser like fitness trainer and my wife said if i go there i can say goodbye to her and our kid. All my life its like this. I just cant go to chase my goals and be better
