This is probably a very common request and I’m not sure if you’ve done it but going to San Marino and looking for shirts would be unbelievably difficult I feel like, the lowest ranked team in the world, it has to be fun. Also loved this video and found it really interesting! Keep it up!
I've been to San Marino before and got an awfully fake Juventus top. I don't think there is a single legitimate sports shop in San Marino. The one I went to was just fully replicas right at the top of the mountain
As a Hertha fan, I’m kind of strangely elated you found that shirt. That’s a 2011/12 shirt. Number 10 that season was Raffael, last season before he left to go to Kyiv.
Love the new Moldova shirts tbh! You should have got all of them really! They've had such nice kits as of late, with the beautiful traditional patterns on them. The Hertha Berlin shirt I believe is from around 2011-2012. It's a Nike Dry Fit, but not so sure on what it's use was as I've not found any photos yet! I think that Tanzania shirt was possibly the most interesting find if real!
When I went to LIthuania, I didn't see a SINGLE football shirt over there, national sport is basketball and not many people support the football team so that would be really impossible
Hey Ellis, I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the amazing content you’ve been making. I’ve been going through a really tough period over the last couple of years and watching your videos really helps me just escape all the bad thoughts and feelings and puts a smile on my face and lifts up my mood. So I just wanted to say thank you and to keep up with the amazing content!
Poland sounds good Ellis! Love these videos and the Shirt Shopping series so much! Hopefully Revolt can help take you and a guest on your next adventure. The only issue is after watching your videos it has meant I’ve now started my own collection where I am trying to get all the Tottenham shirts from the 21st Century, so that Tottenham 2007/08 away shirt from yourself would be quite special. Keep up the great work, and you’ve definitely got a subscriber for life 🙌🏻
Mall Dova is straight gold. Good on you for going on a mini vacation on your own. Some of my best breaks have been just booking a flight to somewhere last minute and going on my own for just a few days and discovering something all by myself.
Thrift shops in Iceland are really fun. They have their devoted fans but from what I’ve seen when I went to Reykjavik there’s some great places for potential random finds!
Went to Poland a few weeks ago, some really good thrift shops with alot of old shirts in them, some old Adidas templates and some old Liverpool shirts in Krakow. Could be a shout for a football shirt hunting episode mabey next year for the cracovia v wilsa game
Unfortunately Wisła got relegated so unless the will meet in a cup game there will be no "holy war" next year as they call the games between Cracovia and Wisła :c
@@timothyh it is officialy stated as coming from one of Cracovia defenders from the 1920s who said "let's go to this holy war lad" but basically u can call that rivalry a religious one, because Cracovia is often associated with judaism and their hooligans call themselves ,,Jude Gang", also Wisła hooligans often use anti-semitic chants and in Kraków there are a lot of anti-semitic tags painted by Wisła hools, but it's more of an insult towards Cracovia supporters, not actual Jews
I went to Moldova in 2017 and stayed at the City Park Hotel too. The staff at reception gave me a free upgrade to a much bigger room with an awesome view across the city. Loved my time in Moldova.
Loved the video yet again Ellis, you’ve definitely done well considering how everyone was saying that Moldova would be “impossible”. Now hurry up and get yourself to Australia 😂
Hey loved the video, the next plays I reckon you should go to would be Ireland. Over here our main sport would be Gaelic football or Hurling so I would say finding a football shirt would be a fun challenge! You also could find some League of Ireland which in my opinion are some of the nicest jerseys you can find. I’m a big fan and just wanted to say keep up the work because we all appreciate it 👍
Love that Moldova shirt! I'm in Romania next month, hopefully will have some luck finding stuff there. You should definitely try Poland next or Czech Rep.
id like to see you hit up the spots where big brands famously had their factories, so for example the areas of former Yugoslavia where the famed Adidas factories were, i like to think there woud be some hidden gems in the flea markets and thrift stores there!
The details on that Moldova shirt are crazy, reminds me a tiny bit of Southamptons away. And if there's even sports shops etc there think FSH in the world's smallest country Vatican city would be a cool video
Of course I'm still waiting for an Italian edition but it's not obscure, so I'll cheat and suggest San Marino! Another suggestion would be Slovenia. I've been to the capital city myself and found nothing in around 3 thrift shops, so it would be fun to watch!
Those pickups were amazing Ellis! I know it's hard but it would be awesome if you go somewhere in South America! Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay are class for football shirt hunting
The sad truth it is that here in Eastern Europe we don't have this football shirt culture that you guys in UK have, that's why you won't really find that many here. Even if you see people wearing football shirts on the street or at a 5-a-side, more often than not it's a fake, and people are okay with that. I live in Romania and the situation is pretty much the same as in Moldova (we're very similar culturally so not a surprise).
@@awaydaysfootball you're welcome mate. I'm starting my own football shirt collection as well and I'm trying to find some gems in these thrift shops or second hands until I can afford buying new ones regularly. I don't want fakes though.
Another banger Ellis sorry about your Messi shirt hope you can go to more countries and I would recommend you to go to Poland as they got some amazing thrift stores and could pick up a couple local team shirts
16:09 Could also be a training shirt ore something but eaven if its only a Template buy it becous TSV Sauerlach is a smal team in germany near Munich and eaven in germany its rare becous its such a small team so next time google the team and when you find no shot ore a shop with no items than go buy it. Especaly in a country where everythin was so cheap but hey the Hertha trikot was at the price they should be because they're not worth more than that xD
That Hertha shirt was a great find. I found an Ajax training kit from the 90s in some random shop in Bulgaria years ago and it was one of my best finds.
I think somewhere in South America would be cool, it would be the polar opposite of Moldova but it could be fun. Great videos as always, and come to Canada soon!
Great video! Poland would be good but possibly try Andorra? I believe their national sport is rugby and it’s very small so would probably be even harder!
7:38 Bro, in the airport you can see a kid wearing a psg messi jersey at 1:53. also Im from Moldova! It's so heartwarming that my tiny and irelevant country is getting attention! (I remember little me walking in malldova)
For the next episode of Football Shirt Hunting Ellis I'd love to see you travel to Ireland! Dublin would be a good one as main sport is GAA so to find footie shirts would be good. Also Ryanair have banging sales at the moment flights would be like £20 on a good day
Hello, if you want to go to Italy for the next football shirt hunt you can go to Florence, a lot of football shops, in particular there is one who sells classic shirts, is in “Via del Giulio 37”
I really like the idea of you going to somewhere like Australia to try and find football shirts, Poland is a good shout tbf. A Spurs shirt for that price was a great find imo as well
This is a great video ellis! I personally think the spurs 07/08 shirt is the best pickup ( definitely not because i’m a spurs fan ) but i think a great country could be Switzerland as to why well it seems like a nice place and could be full of hidden gems
Poland is definitely a shout. I went to Krakow in the fall, and like someone else said, it's quite easy to find old Adidas shirts. Probably because it's so close to Germany, but i'm not sure.
My other half was in Moldova earlier this year for work, said it was a beautiful county and was surprised so few visit it, if you keep going to the weird and wonderful, can you try (if possible), to add a small degree of tourist information to the videos as well? Sure people would appreciate it.
I guess you could come to Poznań, Poland as on 5th of July there will be match in UCL quals against Qarabaq and on 9th of July a Supercup match (tbh I guess it will be 2nd-3rd squad playing so the UCL game should be better). You probably know "let's all do the Poznan" so you would have a chance to see it live. When it comes to shirt hunting I would say it might go well, there is plenty of sport shops in city center and quite a few thrift shops
It really isn't that much of a mystery as to how shirts end up in Chisinau. There are many charities who receive pallets of donated clothes from the UK and other European countries, and a lot of this is sold in the second hand stores. There is one huge charity store on the outskirts of the city that is supported by a Scottish charity, and it is often stacked with football and rugby shirts.
Those Moldova kits are absolutely beautiful. I'll just say Toronto because I feel like you'll be able to find some absolute bangers if you look around enough through the thrift stores. You'll pay a lot, but I think you'll find some absolute bangers. There's also some specialty football/soccer shops that constantly have really good sales. Plus, come see Toronto FC be terrible, and enjoy some poutine.
Haha, glad you ve visited Moldova. As a kid, me and my friends had a lot of legendary s footbal t-shirts, Ronaldo, Eto o, Ronaldinho, Beckham and so on. It s because they were really easy to find and also really affordable. You can usually find them in second shops, with a really good price as well :D
Loved the video as always Ellis inspired me into shirt collecting about 5 years back should definitely go hunting up here in Scotland or go over to Ireland and shirt hunt would be good aswell as Poland would have loved that hertha shirt
Love the video. Maybe go to the Netherlands or Belgium because football is the number 1 sport here. Also if you go to thrift shops there are some gems from Ajax, Psv and some other smaller clubs.
I think San Marino could be good because they are looked down on as a footballing nation and it would be interesting to see if it is huge over there because of how small the place is.
Love those shirts btw. But nothing bests a football shirt hunting in PORTUGAL. Everybody loves football here. Surely would be one of the Best huntings! 🤝🔥

One thing is for certain Ellis definitely got the cardio in. Never hurts to wander around. One country that would be cool to hunt for football shirts would be the Czech Republic country doesn't get spoken about to often.
I think Pristina in Kosovo would be a great place. Their love of England because of our help in the 90s & how much they love their football i think would lead to some good finds!
There is a Local Team called Zimbru FC, but there store is only opened during the Game. And you went to their stadium. The Moldova Andora Game was played on the Zimbru FC Stadium
I'd say one of these big cities in the USA: Chicago, LA, NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, or Portland. There are other cities that are good with soccer, but you're bound to find nice stuff in one of these places 👍
I think you should go to Iceland. Around 350k population I doubt there would be many collectors etc grabbing the goods shirts if any happen to end up there. I’m also a Spurs fan so that Spurs jersey would be very nice to add to my Spurs shirt collection! Love the series Ellis, keep it up!
