- Video footage of Dubai Airport shows the tarmac completely flooded from heavy rainfall.
Dubai airport- the worlds busiest for international travel - temporarily diverted flights to other locations.
Inside the airport, footage shows passengers walking through flood water as they wait for departure flights.
More than 120mm of rain came down on Tuesday, which is the yearly average in the country.
Cars were filled with water, forcing hundreds of motorists to abandon their vehicles and swim to safety.

If they have any sense they would build huge underground drains and water storage facilities. Then slowly clean that water and use it. Water is precious....especially in that region.

4.7 inches of rain is alot. I have seen around 4.5 inch rain in one night. But Dubai has dry soil which is baked can’t absorb this water.
