Thanks for the tips, just removed and cleaned my egr and intake manifold, wow loads of black gunk that came out
When you drop the socket down the front of the engine 😂😂 that pause (cock) 😂 we have all done that many times.

Does this make emissions worse for mot. My freelander is blasting black smoke out already before I've plated it off.
Change crank case breather filter that should help improve black smoke...

I machined a disk and fitted it between the EGR valve and the pipe.
Got to be easier ..

Clean the valve and use an M6 bolt to block the vacuum hose job done no EGRc no snake oil delete kit required

Simply Just take off the vacuum pipe on front of EGR valve....plug it and replace the pipe Done and EGR will not work

Any good MOT tester should pick up on these after market bypass EGR, better to gut your original, no one is any the wiser then :-)

After fitting the blanking valve do you need to install any new software on the vehicle to delete egr???
Good luck finding a rolling road for a 4WD though. Alternatively you could take the propshaft off for the test then put it back on again.

you can start a diesel with that temperature just takes a while more, same as gasoline it all depends how frozen the fuel is
