I'm also a musician (drummer) and want to share with you my band. It's called La Mar, we play post-rock / post-metal and we've released two albums so far. I am sitting in a coffee shop in nashville Tennessee, and I am hearing this album for the first time. I don’t know how to articulate this correctly, but I feel so lucky to still be able to stumble along something like this in my life where my entire existence is swept from under my feet instantly. This is one of the most amazing pieces of music I’ve ever heard, it almost brought me to tears. I literally feel reborn.
Which part(s) in particular almost brought you to tears? Sun For Miles makes me teary eyed almost every time, and @ 2:39 Anisette sometimes does it too.

sing, sing, sing
when their horns are too loud

you had it coming
and i think you know why
your face lights up
but so do hers
watered drinks are fine for my girl
and i never sleep beside my girl
i'll fall for her again
to sit through
countless minutes of countless cynics
i sure hope that they've got it right
PALACES
i answer to fists full of armed fingers
waiting for command
sons of sons who answer one
afraid to lead an open hand
they've found a flaw
they'll find a hundred more
you see you're all a mistake
but all in all you'll save face
so please don't point your finger
when this is where you're meant to be
cause this is where you are
get out of bed
we need you
now
so aren't you glad you know now?
no, not since we found out
do you know what this means now?
we are swimming on our backs
too tired to explain ourselves
crying arches spines
arms reaching for home
she won't drop us
SUN FOR MILES
look down
tens upon tens
won't forget your name for a while
tens upon tens
will cry themselves to sleep for a while
be quiet for a second
i hope to see you again
i hope
Toby Driver wishes he had come up with this
Unfortunately he did not.
love The End - Within Dividia, love this
excellent
My god is this album refreshing. Its amazing to hear such technical skill amongst a sea of mediocre doom/sludge bands. A fantastic listen

Mare are set to play a show, or set of shows with Old Man Gloom within the coming months.

I love how when you search mare on UA-cam, it's a mixture of this band, and a bunch of horses having sex... (P.S: I was searching the band obviously...)
Sure you were, Colin. Likely story.
"Obviously"
Don't worry, nothing to be ashamed of ;)
Think about all the lucky people who are searching for horses having sex and discover this awesome music.
And here i was just looking for some good ole, wholesome horse boinking and fell upon an awesone band. Isnt the internet just the best?
