When this song first came out on the radio my husband was serving over in Afghanistan for the Marine Corp. It's not very fitting with but a few lyrics in the song but every time it played my two year old daughter would sing it and say this is mine and Daddys song! Simply because it said miss me baby and she was Daddys girl! This song was so special to us during a time when I couldn't talk to my husband much and didn't really even know if I would ever see him again... Praise God he came home to us and every time this song plays it melts my heart just the same as it did at that stressful time in our lives. This song really hits home to me. When I was 15 years old (I'm now 40) I gave my heart to a guy. We have both since moved on with our lives. We keep in touch, talk about the past, talk about what went wrong, what we could have changed. We have so many wonderful memories together and but we were young and didn't have a clue about life. We just recently talked about what our life would be like if we had made it thru all the hard times. I won't lie I cried....Eventhough its been 25 years he is still the love of my life and he always will be There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him and think about what could have been. My love for him and the memories I will always cherish.
