Reason.for chennai airport loosing the position of gate of south to b'lore are simple two,
1) First 2 dwcades ago when chennai aitport expansion qestion came on pozhichalur side,,certain political parties opposed/ demonstrated nd.stopped land acquisition.
So expansion could be done within existing/ restricted airport lands!
2) land for new airport qestion came state governments could not decide due to mud slinging by political parties.
3) without deciding on land state govt.was simply blaming ynion govt😂
3) when the qestion of exapansion came up decade before, ,,civil aviation department wanted to go by govt./private participation.
But certain political parties raised redflags,,nd.opposed private participation. Result we r seeing????
Calcutta is another olace which followed TN,,state policy,result is known.
Even in kerala,,cochi,,state govt.co_operated got brand new airport.
Even yesterday,in daily,there was advt.for taking over lands from pvt.parties,,5pages.?
It is anybody's guess when
Lands will be procured by state govt.
Without knowing actual position funny to see MPs,,saying funds are not allotted.
First we shud. Set our house in order before blaming center,?????

Maama Sumanth is right. CM's Stalin n Honble minister n Udhyanithi doing their job with like Ministers Shekar Babu n very less number ministers well. The others not doing their jobs. Especially MP Sumathi's total constitution is not taken care. This is very dangerous for future of DMK. Already Tamizhasai has proved her vote increase than the earlier. In fact I'm a diecore DMK supporter. This peoples are surviving because of our Late CM n present CM'S glory. Even in the parliament She is not as much as vibe of West Bengal MP's. CM must take care of these kind of MPs n MLAs. Anyhow, I'll vote any donkey in the DMK, cos of Anna,Karunanithi n lastly Stalin. There is no other way to show my gratitude apart my vote, for the benifits, I got it from their DMK Government. I'm really sorry for this comment, there is no other way to go. Very soon this inability MLAs n MPs spoil the name of CM Stalin n DMK's creditability.

TN Govt can't operate flights or do anything in that sector. Which state govt in India is providing Incentive to domestic or international airlines? Only Union Govt can take steps on connectivity. When Congress comes back to power with TN representation we will get our fair share of growth. Until then we have to wait and make use of only our state funds for development.

Charleston, SC where Boeing factory is located but it has a very small airport. Many manufacturing hubs located in US are small airports only.
