I think a big reason for why these animated shows are ultra violent is that high action stuff is a cool way to show off a bunch of fancy animations. And yes please, do a Horus Heresy show.
I actually really enjoyed the Pac-Man one. It was one of the few that (refreshingly) didn't feel like an extended trailer for the game. It was just a weird wtf-style story, which I'm into.
Concord never had a chance of coming back. It sounds like the initial 200M costs sunk were into creative types who couldn't properly code it, so the 2nd 200M was spent outsourcing the coding work to get the game into a playable state at the last moments. Whether you like or hate the gameplay, if the dedicated staff couldn't properly get the game to work after all those years, how do you expect to invest more money into them to fix the problem?
LMAO loving Monte's reaction to DoA discussing Pacman as an honorable mention. That episode sucked! Unreal Tournament and Warhammer 40k were incredible!
great episode. the last couple minutes, something got really messed up with Monte's setup? it felt like it had super aggressive noise-cancellation, and would just mute the last few words from monte when he was speaking slightly lower. Your show actually got me to watch Secret level, and it's been very entertaining, even with some of the stories being very basic, or nonexistant. But the visual spectacle carries me through as something worth watching.
If you're interested in fiction that tackles the consequences of FTL travel Gunbuster by the creation of Neon Genesis Evangelion does some amazing stuff, especially considering how old it is.
@@Einhazard A classic. Shinkai also did something similar with Voices of a Distant Star way back. Honestly feel like he peaked back then, well before Your Name.

Monte hitting the Ryu war nap pose is pure cinema

I just watched Gunbuster! The way it handles the passage of time is super cool.

Haven’t listened to your episode yet but some were good some were a total miss.
Happy New Year! side Q- Lewis mentioned this on how he thought fiction is better/more value than real stories... could you guys elaborate?
