This card won me arena. My opponent priest played this monk and couldn't heal himself, allowing my hunter hero power to chip down the last bunch of his HP while I basically left the card on board by not playing anything. Very cool interaction.
this was not the main reason, i think the main reason was because you could actualy and even now you still can, pull out a mal´ganis..... infinite stealth + mal´ganis = gg........... someone even managed to pull that one out i think it was Amaz but im not sure .
Mac Donalds or... Yogg could have killed the thing stopping him from being healed, then heal him. Or he could have potentially (I know it's unlikely) kill the opponent. Also, you need to learn what a joke is
gferrol118 Nothing about your comment indicated it was a joke, you were being serious. I'm not saying it was impossible for Yogg to keep him alive, but it was super unlikely.
There's a lot more. There's binding heal, holy nova, drain life, dark pact, siphon soul, spirit lash, holy fire, barkskin, shield block, claw, feral rage, gnash, iron hide, ironforge portal, oaken summoners, unidentified shields, bite, earthen scales, branching paths, bring it on, ultimate infestation. Also if any spell killed the minion that blocks targeting he could be healed. Not using Yogg was far worse than basically conceding.
I feel like that card failed in design as the one hero power you really don't want connecting to your face is hunter's and it doesnt stop it. I think a simple rewording would make it a real card "prevent all damage from spells and hero powers to your hero" Though it does stop Deathknight priest but making it 3 power makes it easier for priest to deal with, at least it isn't 2 power. . .
I think the hero power half of that effect is mostly trinket text that has just been carried forward (and actually gotten slightly more beneficial over time) for consistency. Consider that at the time Faerie Dragon was printed it only stopped the mage hero power, which is an inefficient way to kill a 3/2 anyway, and the shadow priest shenanigans. It's mostly to stop spells, keeping your opponent from bolting your 3/2 was a realistically valuable ability then and keeping them from throwing any of the hundreds of burn spells at your face is extremely valuable now (plus it just happens to slow down Shadowreaver, which is probably the main reason it's being printed now). They probably just figured that "spells and abilities" wasn't as clear as they wanted, "just spells" was too vanilla and "spells and hero powers" was a cheap way to capitalize on the design space opened up by adding hero powers to a magic clone in the first place without actually increasing the complexity of learning the game.
They just fireball monk once lol, it's the most useless card out of the expansion, played a dozen arena already and people keep trying to use it to save themselves, when in fact it doesn't protect you against any spells that actually go for your face. Or the hunter hero power, which is the only thing you want protection from.
Infinimage is countered by Eye for an Eye Paladin secret. Also by paladin hero. Eater of secrets is too bad a card to be played against anything other that secret classes tho.
nu1x Yeah... And Eye for an Eye is great against anything but a quest mage taken down to exactly one hp. And yes, killing quest mage is great counter. You need to actually do the killing tho, which with this shitty hero deck is kinda hard.
I play wild all the time,I dont mind at all. Miracle Rogue already works for me and I think it would make the deck worse, but I might try the steal deck, thanks for your reply.
None of your business Sorry, I have never played tempo Rogue. When I want to play an aggressive deck I play Hunter or Zoolock. Or aggro Priest (not a good deck, but realy fun to play)
WHAT?! Who, in their right mind, would not have played Yogg before attacking????!?!?!?!? Seriously, there are so many heals that he could've gotten. He deserved to lose that game. Not because of the Monk, but because he attacked before playing Yogg
The point is that he literally has to Yogg to survive and the chance that he instantly loses the game to explosive trap is high enough that it's not worth attacking first. It's a pretty clear sequencing error.
+Drakenessd Oh, come on, dude. Can't you just think for 1 seconds about the situation so that you won't say somthing wrong so that I wouldn't have to come back here and correct you? Look, obviously there's a chance that the minion will die. But if it does and Kripp gets a heal, then he still might have a chance. The point is: If it wasn't explosive trap, Kripp WOULD NOT have won the game because he "did 2 extra damage" by attacking first. It was a stupid and incorrect play. Period. (And BTW, I don't think there's a "higher chance" of one minion dying than there is for Kripp to heal.)
LRiBeiro97 name all the heal spells in the game then name all the damage ones. Now tell me which one yogg is more likely to pull. Although, can yogg cast targeted spells on you if you have the kobold monk up? If so the only way for you to to survive the turn is with non-targeted spells/heal effects. These are the ones that I could think of that would help Kripp in this situation. healing rain, spirit lash, holy nova, dark pact, ice block, drain soul, drain life, oaken summons, or any of the warrior gain armor effects. This looks like a lot of spells but, this just barely over 10% of spells in standard.
+Gabriel Halperin This is my last comment here, since I won't keep explaining such obvious things. As for the possible spells, here is a list of spells that would help Kripp that I made looking at the wiki: Druid: Barkskin, Bite, Branching Paths, Claw, Earthern Scales, Feral Rage, Gnash, Healing Touch, Moonglade Portal, Oaken Summons, Ultimate Infestation Hunter: NONE Mage: Ice Block Paladin: Holy Light, Lay On Hands Priest: Binding Heal, (Free From Amber summoning Rag, Light Lord, healing face), Greater Healing Potion, Holy Fire, Holy Nova, Spirit Lash Rogue: NONE (unless there's crazy RNG to shadowstep the monk, double innervate and hero power) Shaman: Healing Rain, Tidal Surge Warlock: Dark Pact, Drain Life, Drain Soul, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, Siphon Soul Warrior: Bring It On, Iron Hide, Ironforge Portal, Shield Block, Unidentified Shield This is a total of 31 possible spells that could directly help Kripp. And while it is actually 9,33% of standard spells, it is A LOT os spells, and definitely a lot more than your "top of head" list that barely starts to scratch at the possibilities. Now, EVEN IF YOU DON'T CONSIDER ANY OF THAT, IT WAS STILL RIGHT TO PLAY YOGG FRIST. Again, the minion dying or not to Yogg is IRRELEVANT, to Kripp wining the game. He didn't need to "chip in" that 2 damage, he didn't need to keep the minion on board for "board presence". He needed to heal. And that's what Yogg could do, even if he killed the minion in the process before he attacked. When you have 1 HP, you don't do something that: either kills you, or doesn't help you survive When you have 1 HP, you should do whatever it is that might give you a chance to survive (i.e. Yogg) So, either admit that you were wrong (as was every one of those people that don't think it was better to play Yogg first), or just delete your comment. It is embarassing that something so obvious even needs explaining.
Why didn't it work on the hunter hero power? That's like one of the only ones that can actually hit you.... so if it doesn't work on that...what good is it?
The Hunter Hero Power doesn't target. Similar way, it doesn't protect you against Mind Blast. But it does protect you from Shadowreaver Anduin's HP and from Fireballs/Kill Commands flying in the general direction of your face, which tends to be quite useful.
As standard, only 2 hero powers target: Mage and Priest. Out of those, Priest is the only one you might want to target your face with. Your other draft options must have been pretty dire if you thought Kobold Monk was a good card to have as Priest.
The monk card would be great but they din't even make it work against hunter hero power. I've never even seen the monk played yet besides with this video.
...So Kobold Monk doesn't block Hunter's Hero Power? Sure, it's direct damage, and can't be a target since it only goes face, but it shouldn't be able to hit the person with Kobold Monk out. The Power should be unusable for Hunter.
nope, you can kill a faery dragon with deadly shot... because there is 1 minion. so, you can hero power the enemy face because there is a enemy hero(even with stealth works)
Well, that actually helps my argument. Minions that can't be targeted maybe SHOULDN'T be able to be hit by random spells. (Stealth can. Say Deadly Shot is something you actually do. You shoot an arrow randomly, and your target is invisible. You can still hit them, you just can't see them.) What if Faerie Dragon can't be hit by anything? No Flamestrike, no Lighting Strike, Deadly Shot, Breath of Sindy, etc. If it can be targeted, then it can't. But you're targeting a board, which has a Can't be targeted minion. Maybe they should change it to be "can't be damaged by spells or Hero Powers"?
Well, when you are a priest, and this card makes your hero untargatable by spells or hero power, you have to figure this situation could happen...and also it was obviously TERRIBLE to play the monk in that position.
Well I guess it could protect you from hunter, mage, and priest burn spells... and if you make it stealthed or untargetable then the stupid Anduin machine gun priest deck will be totally hosed. Other than that, I think it's really fucking stupid that it doesn't stop hunter hero powers.. or anything but priest heals, or mage fireblast. So lame. It sounds good in theory, but in practice it barely does anything that it implies.
Fucking really? The ONE hero power where this card shines the most it lets it through? Simply because the hunter hero power isn't targetable? What a fucking worthless card then, and I actually had some high hopes for it too, such a shame.
Didn't play Yogg, 0/10
Congratulations, You played yourself.
Sándor Martin (insert DJ Khaled face)
This card won me arena. My opponent priest played this monk and couldn't heal himself, allowing my hunter hero power to chip down the last bunch of his HP while I basically left the card on board by not playing anything.
Very cool interaction.
He should have said Jesus take the wheel and played yogg. That was the only way out
deserved for not playin YOGG:
The fact that a particular male human being was not feeling any sort of heat denied my process of removing my jacket
What is life
Life is pain
I see why they had to nerf master of disguise
Huh, that actually makes sense.
it was more because of Auctioneer, but it did open the design space for this card.
nobody was playing master of disguise in miracle rogue pre-nerf
this was not the main reason, i think the main reason was because you could actualy and even now you still can, pull out a mal´ganis..... infinite stealth + mal´ganis = gg........... someone even managed to pull that one out i think it was Amaz but im not sure .
HorizonGaming yeah the main reason for the nerf on a rouge card was mal'ganis, a wild warlock card
This guy played a 1/3 then a 2/3, 3/3, 4/3 transforming 3/3 into 5/3. Master Curve
So the only hero powers it actually blocks is priest and mage?
gorillawarfair basically yeah
yup, and the Warlock DK
That's some bullshit
TValoryn it protects from targeting, not damage
That makes it from being really cool to being stupid as Hell.
You could have easily won this. All you had to do was play yogg
gferrol118 The only spell that would have saved him is healing rain or wave, Yogg can only cast single target spells on eligible targets
Mac Donalds or... Yogg could have killed the thing stopping him from being healed, then heal him. Or he could have potentially (I know it's unlikely) kill the opponent. Also, you need to learn what a joke is
Mac Donalds Furthermore there are a lot of armor spells... so Yogg was the right play
gferrol118 Nothing about your comment indicated it was a joke, you were being serious.

I think a simple rewording would make it a real card "prevent all damage from spells and hero powers to your hero" Though it does stop Deathknight priest but making it 3 power makes it easier for priest to deal with, at least it isn't 2 power. . .
Or maybe "Your opponent can't target your hero with spells or hero powers"
The hunter hero power doesn't target though, that's the point. You just press it and boom! 2 face damage.
it does stop the dk priest already, the dk ability is something you need to target. although you can just target the monk because he isnt immune.
then that would make it just another Violet illusionist
I think the hero power half of that effect is mostly trinket text that has just been carried forward (and actually gotten slightly more beneficial over time) for consistency. hey guys how’s it going preparing here
H-He's fast...
ClosedCaptionerino Kripperino what does that mean
Didnt trust in lord and savior Yogg - gets his deserved punishment :D
I want to see the exodia mage getting countered by the monk with stealth sooooo much 😂😍
They just fireball monk once lol, it's the most useless card out of the expansion, played a dozen arena already and people keep trying to use it to save themselves, when in fact it doesn't protect you against any spells that actually go for your face. I fucking burst out laughing when I saw that on stream, woke up my roommates lol!
I like how the hunter knew you screwed yourself. "Aw look, the Priest is trying to heal after playing Kobold Monk. Adorable." *Thanks.*
This card is insane
Neutral 4 mana 3/6 statline is damn solid (for arena)
Hey,Shaku! I got you from a pack back than and still couldnt find a deck you were good in,some advise?
Not a Plant could be put in a miracle rogue. (Or a meme thief rogue but that’s a Wild deck of you don’t mind)
I play wild all the time,I dont mind at all. Miracle Rogue already works for me and I think it would make the deck worse, but I might try the steal deck, thanks for your reply.
Not a Plant you couldn't find a deck for shaku? He was in one of the Tier 1 tempo rogue lists...
None of your business
Sorry, I have never played tempo Rogue. When I want to play an aggressive deck I play Hunter or Zoolock.
Or aggro Priest (not a good deck, but realy fun to play)
2:19 wasnt it missplay to coin and annoyo thing
Well what are you suppose to use the hero power immunity for if it doesn't effect the shot
Everything that targets?
How did the hunter hero power work then?
if you played yog wouldnt that have prevented you from getting hit in the face with a damage spell?
6:09 Missed Lethal
Where is Orgasmerino Kripperino when you need him?
As a hearthstone player used to say: Drooling Noob!!
this card with permanent stealth in Dungeon Run lmayo
Swaghetti Yologness except that most hero power/spells in dungeon run don’t have a target/don’t hit your face so it’s useless there

This is my last comment here, since I won't keep explaining such obvious things.
As for the possible spells, here is a list of spells that would help Kripp that I made looking at the wiki:
Druid: Barkskin, Bite, Branching Paths, Claw, Earthern Scales, Feral Rage, Gnash, Healing Touch, Moonglade Portal, Oaken Summons, Ultimate Infestation
Hunter: NONE
Mage: Ice Block
Paladin: Holy Light, Lay On Hands
Priest: Binding Heal, (Free From Amber summoning Rag, Light Lord, healing face), Greater Healing Potion, Holy Fire, Holy Nova, Spirit Lash
Rogue: NONE (unless there's crazy RNG to shadowstep the monk, double innervate and hero power)
Shaman: Healing Rain, Tidal Surge
Warlock: Dark Pact, Drain Life, Drain Soul, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, Siphon Soul
Warrior: Bring It On, Iron Hide, Ironforge Portal, Shield Block, Unidentified Shield
This is a total of 31 possible spells that could directly help Kripp. And while it is actually 9,33% of standard spells, it is A LOT os spells, and definitely a lot more than your "top of head" list that barely starts to scratch at the possibilities.

Not taking Fireball face added onto a 4 mana 3/6 is solid even for Priest. Not that amazing, but solid anyway.
how do u edit your videos kripparian? :c wich programs?
Maybe in the future they'll make hexproof a thing, where only enemy spells and abilities can't affect the target
They already did, it's on a unicorn neutral(?).
at least playing the monk didn't change whether you would win or lose
he really didnt play yogg.. that hurt so much :(
His top decks where insane
monkS
Kripp denied his own salvation by playing that card.
Kobold monk would well against shadowreaper if it coulldnt be targeted by spells, but its just going to be pained, silenced or fireballed.
'Canadian guy plays cards and doesn't know what they do"
Cranberries - Salvation
I have 2 Kobold Monks, and a Kobold Monk is God tier for Warlock against mages at low life. Bloodreaver Gul'dan + 2 Kobold Monks is ggs for a mage
All souls call out for salvation...
Sounds like a news article title.
Hell is more fun anyways
*200 IQ*
*HOOW'S IT GOING GUYS MY NAME IS KRIIIIIIIIIIPPARIAN*
But Kripp, why didn't you heal?. Why didn't you heal, Kripp?
The LIN
yogg had a chance to heal you so that was a missplay
He was dead nonetheless because of the explosive trap + hunter hero power.
Get REKT BRO
when the whole video is clickbait but you are smarter and skip to the monk moment 0 wasted time
The monk is good in every other class but the one you picked.
But if you had dropped yog you wouldnt have had any backlash from spells.
Preparing here
wait wouldn´t the monk have protected your face from Yogg? or does the God of Death not care about that?

put this card in to counter burn mage.

Can we please have the “cant be targeted” as a word text already, like charge or poisonous.
kripp missed leatal
