Hey, stupid question from an overseas viewer: what is the difference between a small and a large routine?

It’s not the routine type, they were referring to the TEAM type. Small-Coed only allows up to 4 males to compete (as seen in the video) where as a large coed team allows 5 to 12 males to compete.

@@AirOnTheAir thanks. Now that you say it I can actually see it in the video. It’s not obvious from the outset because the “small” team still seems to have a lot of people.

Yeah limit on guys in the team. Which makes it more like a traditional cheer team, the girls need to lift each other more, there tends to be less lifting and more dance etc.

It depends on the following ( the amount of guys on a team compared to girls : large coed has 5 or more guys and small coed has 4 guys or less ( in small coed the girls do most of the stunting ) and how many people are enrolled in the school
Division 1A: 10,000 or more students with a bachelor’s, master and associate’s degree
      Division 1 : 5,000 -10,000 students with a masters degree program
Division II: 5,000 students where the school has at least associates degree program
Junior college : at least 1,000 students with a associates program
