Allah Subhanallahu wataala says (interpretation) "Do not mock their gods lest they Mock Allah without knowledge ". As a Daa'i you need to be very patient with the people you're are inviting to Islam. The Qur'an narrates the difficulties insults and the hardships the prophets went through calling people to Allah's religion. If the prophets went through such and showed restraint and patience then we should learn from those examples. This is not about winning a debate or argument it is about conveying the massage and it is up to Allah to guide the person. Your job is to convey and Allah's is to guide. Barakallah feek

Islam does not promote or condone The taking of slaves and beating of slaves in the western sense of the word. Your Bible says that if a male or female slave is beaten with a rod and they survive a day he is not to be charged as they are his property.
