At times I am Too Cautious, and I would like to see an entire Video on How To Safely Be More Of A Risk-taker. I would like to see an entire Video on How To Be Much More Confident And Bold. I would like to see an entire Video on How To Simulate Outcomes In A Variety Of Situations. I would like to see an entire video on How To Start-Out In Becoming A Real Estate Landlord. Also I would like to see an entire Video on How To Sell And Negotiate, and an entire Video on How To Become A Master At Verbalizing What You Think And Feel (How Verbalize and Be More Confident). I can't believe none is talking about the deal that Volvo turned down many offers from Norway that final offered stated that Volvo would get 50% of all oil found in Norwegian water/land... Since they couldn't see in to the future they again took the safe way and turned it down one final time. With all of that money Norway have earned ruffly 15.000 Billion NOK witch fast calculated in today's $ currency is rufly about 1.700 Billion US $.... And half of it would've been my county's money... Guess what we Swedish people hear from norweigans wen they see is... LoL Imagine how many mistakes we could've done with that money... Like giving it all away to EU...
In 2008 almost all US Finance firms were into "mortgage backed securities" which was toxic and US govt bailed out all after Lehman bankruptcy caused crisis, so they were kind of unlucky for being first in the line
In early 1990 , I was working for a tech company called ESPL in India. It was a state government company and was 3rd largest computer manufacturer of India just next to WIPRO. And we were the ones who offered hardware+software solutions to banks and insurance companies and we were hoping to get the 2 place by 1993. Our company did one mistake that's launching low cost PC for Home. When others were selling for Rs.30000 we started marketing it for Rs.12000 the orders poured to reduce cost our company sourced cheap product from Taiwan and China and sold. Alas all the machines were returned soon and we couldn't repair them by the time our reputation is gone. The company collapsed . The same thing vijay Mallya did by launching Kingfisher-Red.
this video really helped me today as i made a mistake in my business and was feeling down the whole day , but it made me realize even the biggest/most brilliant companies and people make mistake
In hindsight it was a good thing by both Netflix and Google they got rejected. Neither would have became the huge success they did if they were absorbed by the larger company. We’ve seen it time and time again the larger company ends up killing off their acquisition.
The biggest business mistake in my opinion is Nintendo betraying Sony during their collaboration to create a CD add-on for the SNES in 1991 Ken Kutaragi managed to convince the then-CEO of Sony, Norio Ohga, to ditch Nintendo at do it themselves. The rest is entrepreneurial/intrapreneurship history
Now is the perfect time to start investing in Bitcoin ,that is more profitable and also the future which also yield huge profits .I bet you'll never have any regrets or mistake in investing on Bitcoin.
Going to Blcokbuster was an experience. It's a shame that the internet and technology have destroyed so many things like this. Like going to the record store too.
Ouch! This was kind of painful to watch...but a great lesson too!!...Google, Xerox and the Beatles...(who would have thought?)...thank you for your research and sharing Alux team👍
I think its Decca records decision, on not signing the Beatles, and i still can't get over why blockbuster didn't bring netflix on board...Learn from others mistakes...Great video Alux, keep us informed..I learn from you guys daily...-Trusno
The Ford mistake makes me think that Matt Groening based on that to create the episode where Homer meets his lost brother, the rich one, and he asks for Homer's help to design the car that the normal american wants. Homer designs this big and expensive car with all this unnecessary stuff, and his brother's company goes in bankrupcy.
Great bonus, i was wondering what it would be! I love all your bonuses, have seen all that I've watched, didnt even realize they were "guaranteed" the 1st few times I watched, thanks for all the terrific content!
The Volvo Norway deal! In the late seventies the Volvo shareholders turned down a deal to get a part of Norways oil for a part of Volvo. Tris was before anyone knew how much oil threre really was (and it turned out to be a lot).
Maybe the biggest business mistake ever is the one you didn't mention. Apple board of directors firing Steve Jobs back in 1985!! But for the mistakes in this video, I believe the worst one is NASA losing Mars probe because of units conversion!! its true they lost only $2.0 M, but "The Worst Mistake is the one done by the Best"
Hi Nice.... :-)... I thought you would have added Micheal Jordan preferred company, Adidas, who turned down his offer, which Nike took up... and look where the three are today...
To narrow down the stupidest makes of all time, I select... All 15. In business you never know about the future, can only do the here and now. Soon to be apart of history. Like a military maneuver that cost many lives or lose the battle. How about the player, the coach or the manager west makes a decision then one day is criticized for their decision. Noone can predict the future.
Hard to believe 20th Century Fox dropped the ball on marketing Star Wars merchandise - when they had such a success marketing Planet Of The Apes stuff back in 1968. You should have maybe mentioned the bad merger of The New York Central Railroad with the Pennsylvania Railroad. Resulted in the biggest bankruptcy in US history - until Enron came along...
Well you did not mention the mistake that Nokia being one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers of that time did by not accepting to move to android when it was new to the market.. Nokia was flushed out of the market and their mobile phones became obsolete.. though they made a comeback later but the brand had already lost value by then and stood quite behind in the competition.. I would also consider this as a blunder 🤷🏻♀️
no 1 should be coke declined to purchase pepsi three times! in the early 1900s pepsi was failing and was offered to coke for a good price. coke felt it didnt need a dying brand coz it was too big and getting bigger. right there and then it could have eliminated its biggest competition and could have the lion share of the market today.
I think Decca Records. They could have at least have The Beatles Band on board. The Record Label would not have a big loss if it didn’t work out. But wow The Beatles Band is incredible!!🎶🎤🎼💝💙🤗😀

It's a part of the growth. I'd love to include this in my NEXT vids. 💯
Mistakes are made by all entrepreneurs, that's how we learn. However, most times you can't tell the future but the biggest thing here is!! RISK
You missed out about Microsoft working on touch screen and tablet technologies much before Apple but never bothering to developing a market product

Bitcoin investment has been the best of the DECADES
Yes people say Bitcoin it's a scam but that's not true
It's not true but just criticize what they don't understand
I have about this Bitcoin investment but don't have clue on how it works
Alux.Com is really a mind opening Channel. I for sure would recommend this Channel to anyone who wants something out of the ordinary'

I would say the Xerox apple deal was the worst one.
Xerox's decision to show apple their prototypes was the dumbest mistake in history
Not so exactly but not able to realize the potential of their innovations
At first new Coke was a mistake. But New Coke generated so much buzz for the Old Coke, that Coke has outsold Pepsi ever since.
If blockbuster would of accepted netflix offer, would have have millions of movies on stream?
Alux is literally an osome channel!!
The Volvo Norway deal!
In the late seventies the Volvo shareholders turned down a deal to get a part of Norways oil for a part of Volvo.
Tris was before anyone knew how much oil threre really was (and it turned out to be a lot).
Never heard of excite
There's a lot of companies that are no longer in existence because of their fatal business mistakes.
I am listening to Failing Forward and he has “New Coke” I’m there!
One of the stupidest mistakes in this video is using a picture of The Rolling Stones in a part about The Beatles.
Allowing an Artist like Steve Jobs to view your ideas😂🤣
I still use my aol email. 👀
Scandalous
I'm getting my real estate license soon, can you please do a video on that? I want to learn everything I possibly can to succeed !!
Alux , we love investing
But where do we learn investing from ?
The dumbest mistake ever is never taking that risk on yourself.
Ooh it always helps to double check before you send that $39 instead of $3900 or the myazaki error of swiching the share and yen.

Once Star wars and Star Trek were purchased the merchandising sales fell off the table... Big time !!!
What about Ray Foster declining Queen's song Bohemian Rhapsody.
16. Shutting down the economy for COVID-19
The pathway to success is paved with mistakes.
Worth noting that if anyone bought google or netflix early on it would not be the same company and not as successful.

Xerox by far!!!! ANYTIME YOU TAKE SOMETHING COMPLICATED AND SIMPLIFY IT= MONEY IN THE BANK!!!
I was expecting fall of Nokia and Microsoft Windows Mobile market in the list.
Reality : we all watch UA-cam videos, just to live in fantasy.
As soon as I saw the headline, I thought of New Coke. 😆
Good video guys !!
How about the New Coke debacle?
The blockbuster example is a satisfying example,😅 who got the last laugh...
Mizuho and Altalia were the stupidest mistakes as they could have been easily avoiding. Just because of lack of patience and attention
umm Apple Iphone? #1 blunder on those who thought it was nada, ask Nokia, Microsoft and AtT
Hey guys love you💙💙
# 1 'Excite turn down Google' BIG MISTAKE :D😀👍
I like the mistake by investment company based in Japan 🇯🇵😅
Yahoo not purchasing Google was a dumb mistake. George Lucas selling Star Wars to Disney. And Marvel being sold to Disney.
I wonder how alux missed out Osborne Computer Corporation.. Also it's one of the most important ones.
You guys made a mistake with the last picture of The Beatles, that's a Rolling Stones picture!

Fine video
Awesome / I liked Xerox error!
The price of not having hindsight and taking a chance.

the Mizuho one, 225 million loss because they entered the numbers backwards...
The channel is really amazing. It inspires me a lot and I hope it will be helpful to fulfil my vision.
Awesome video as always Alux but I gotta say I miss Luxury news will you bring it back😊😊
Xerox one is worst
What about eBay turned down 14B $ offer from a top company..
Now it values less than $4 B
🙏😀
Now these are the Alux categories conducive for growth. Not what makes a man a man from a woman’s perspective.

I think Decca Records. They could have at least have The Beatles Band on board. The Record Label would not have a big loss if it didn’t work out. But wow The Beatles Band is incredible!!🎶🎤🎼💝💙🤗😀
