My favorite Summer Memories - 6 brothers and sisters growing up eating fresh watermelon from the garden and homemade vanilla ice cream during the day; catching fireflies and playing hide and go seek at night. Great memories.
My favorite summer memory is my dad planning our family trips which were long drives from SC to NY to visit relatives. He would map out the long drives. My mom would make fried chicken and the best pound cake, pack grape and orange Fanta sodas and our meals were eaten in the car. We only stopped for gas and restroom breaks. We sometimes would break up the drives by stopping to visit relatives in Maryland and DC. As children we were always so excited to see our relatives and the world. The family trips instilled in me and my sibling a love for travel domestically and internationally. I have vacationed in 48 of the 50 States and have taken many international trips. My dad is deceased however I feel him looking over my shoulder while exploring this beautiful world.
Going waaay back for my fondest summer memory...me and my best friend poolside at her house. Time spent in the water with our 80's rock music or in the pool house shooting pool, singing, dancing, and just enjoying our teenage selves. Those were the days.😊(Susan Moore)

#replay My favorite summer memory was the summer of 1976-the Bicentennial summer. We had painted everything red, white, and blue: the telephone poles, phone booths, mail boxes, etc. On July 4 our town had a huge parade; any child not in the marching band or in scouts decorated their bikes with flags and streamers and rode in the parade as well. Then the entire town celebrated on the beach with fireworks, games, and a barbecue. Everyone came together to make it a special event to remember.
My favorite summer memory is running through the water sprinklers in the back yard with my siblings during the hot Texas summers, when the community pools were too crowded.
Favorite Summer Memory - As an only child, I spent all my Fourths with my cousins who lived in a cul-de-sac so perfect for blowing off fireworks. It was the same year after year except there's one year that I remember details. I think I'm in my early double digits and I remember I was doing one of those "safe" fireworks where you light it and it just grows on the ground. It was called a snake. They worked kinda like those micro towels that grow when placed in water. Anyway, as I'm doing this, I see one of my crazy uncles who comes out to the middle and shouts, "Look at my firework!" It was a flare, but I'd never seen one lit so as a kid I thought it was just the coolest thing. Of course all of the adults are laughing, but to me I was mesmerized. 😂🤣 And then one of my older cousins brought out their tin garbage can (yes, I'm that old cuz there were no such things as the plastic bins we have now). He then threw a whole lit package of those "Chinese Fireworks" that just pop, but by putting it in the trash can made for even louder pops and a cool enough light show in a tin can to remain in my mind to this day. Wow! Thanks for helping to jar that memory outta my brain. Good memories.
One of my favorite summer memories is when we got a puppy on July 4th and called him Uncle Sam. The next day my parents surprised us by going back to get one of his brothers. We called Barney Fife. 🐶
My favorite summer was when I was fourteen, and we used the slip and slide down the hill at our house. Getting wet, having fun till the sun went down. ❤

My fondest summer memories while growing up involve swimming in my neighborhood community pool. It was a big, beautiful pool with a bridge going over the water. I learned how to swim in this pool. My mom would take the family to swim in the evenings after dinner, and when I got older I went with my friends.

Favorite summer memory were all the summer holidays with my grandparents at a little island in Norway called Runde. With the weather changing and be close to the nature elements is things I have taken with me i to the adult life. Now we have our holidays in our sailboat every summer and it’s wonderful.
My favorite summer memory is visiting my grandmother in the Dominican Republic. It was one of the few times our entire family got together. We would go to the beach and cook and play together. There was magic in the atmosphere for sure ✨

My fond summer memories are ones with my kid's. Every July was crazy with 4-H festivities. This was their favorite time of the year. We homeschooled so this was their time to hang out with friends and compete against each other. They always worked so well together taking care of the animals. It was defiantly the high light of the year!
My favorite summer memories is the time I spent with my dad. I had the good fortune to have an older father who retired early and he was around for most of my older school years. I didn’t get to spend as much time with him when I was younger because he worked night shifts and slept during the day to enable him to retire at an earlier age. He loved to take us to the city pool where we would swim and play volleyball in the pool. He would take us to the Tasty Treat after our swims to eat a vanilla soft ice cream cone. When I think of my dad these are the memories that I think of. These are very good memories of summer that I cherish which also make Summer my favorite season.

We always went camping growing up at a place we nicknamed it jumuncky cause it is Jamaica in Kentucky. We would swim and play all day long and then sit around the camp fire for songs and stories

I live now in the frozen tundra (even though on lake Michigan) still not the same as Sarasota, FL. I miss it so so much and so when I got this months box, I was so excited with all it's beachy vibes. My favorite summer memory … getting married. I got married on the 4th of July as well! It was such a fun day and our reception was a block party! Wouldn’t have done it any other way!!!! ♥️🤍💙
We got married in Las Vegas and got to watch the fireworks from above in a high floor of a hotel. It was so neat, fireworks all over the city going off at the same time.
To fill up the list, I search for books recommended for the topic, read the synopsis and the reviews. Sometimes I'll buy the books and skim them first to make sure I approve, but that's only if I am on the fence.
