What a beautiful set-up to test the fuel delivery of an old in-line 6 cylinder Bosch fuel injection pump. Let's hope the injection pump governor works as per original Bosch test specifications, including the warm-up phase operation. Good luck and wish you all the best. Cheers!!!
In europe , back in the 60s , went to a school for diesel pumps rebuilt / calibration . You should use injectors at the end of lines to do an accurate flow quantity .
Hello sir how are you please I'm having a problem with my R18 fuel pump on a 280 SL. As the engine warms up, oil starts pouring out of the red cap. This issue started suddenly wasn't there before. What might be the cause of it? Thank you.
@@RoveFans First check the engine oil level. Excessive will effect the pressure and in turn your IP. 2. Your pump has a flow through design. Oil comes in from the engine cycles through the pump and goes back to the crankcase. Poor oil or infrequent changes cause deposits/contaminants to stay within the pump body. You will see the tube connected to the crankcase at the lower end of the pump. Remove it and clean it properly. Any obstructions will effect the oil level in the IP. In your case I would not start the engine until the problem is corrected.
Correct. It needs to be in line with the appropriate regulator as well as the accumulator to get there safely. I basically decreased the preasure to minimum usable by opening the flow
@@markhabel2252 Ryan: at an M130 engine the electric fuel pump is with around 1bar (or even a bit less) discharge pressure. A 6bar pump is not suitable. Mark: congratualtions, this is a very nice bench.
@@markhabel2252 no its with carburator, I've been reading and it looks like a very complicated conversion, I like the idea but maybe it's better just to swap with the c24ne engine that already comes with injection, Im just not sure how to put to wirering loom since mine had no wires...
@@diogolourenco60 It's rather complicated process as your block doesn't have the provision for the pump installation and drive. On top of it good pump alone is probably close to the cost of the engine. If it was me I would refurbish the carborator. All the way to the factory spec. Also a set of proper low resistance copper wires and none resistor plugs will increase spark and combustion quality

Thank you very much for your constructive input.
Excellent! I think I’ll put some plastic tube on my pump to check the flow. My 280sl is running a little rough.
Just make sure is fuel resistant, so not to dissolve. Diesel can be used in place of test oil.
@@markhabel2252 I’ll do it installed.
Cool, nice bench. Thanks for posting!
Excellent setup.
Hi , how do you remove the suction valve at the top of the pump just under the injection line adapter for each injector?
Здравствуйте,Прекрасное видео теста!А есть видео процесса ремонта этого топливного насоса?

Hi, Shouldn't the W126 pump be pushing out closer to 6bar pressure?
Correct.

What engine is that? Is that the M 130?
Also what Mercedes has that engine?
M127 is the older brother of 130. Came out of a pagoda. I hope to start it soon. I'm just waiting for a better day so I can take it outside
C'est super cool ?
which electric distributor did you put? what brand? or where did you buy it? Thank you
123 Ignition distributor is what I used.
I have a video on setup as well.
Come si chiude mandata benzina 280 sl pagoda
How much oil you put on the injector? Tkx
Sorry injection pump
Hey, could you installing one of those in a opel manta a?
I remember it from early 80's. The one I saw had a carborator on it. Is yours fuel injected?
