Just found your channel and subscribed. I bought a scx6 used also but it's the honcho version. The only upgrades I did so far was aluminum axles, front and rear aluminum shock mounts and dropped the pinion down to a 12t which completely helped even better in the low speed control.
Love my 6!!!! I scored mine for 600. It was only ran twice. So for me the only mods I have done so far is 3brothers Anti-Foams in the stock tires. They made a huge difference in performance. And i also did the Fine Lazer Design clipless body mounts. I did pick up the Spekrum V2 programmer. One cool score is i got the body that Exocaged RC chopped the top off. Removing that top weight also helped!!! Subbed!!!!🤘🤘🤘
I noticed you didnt have the esc seto mounting plate , i hear thats a must , the stock one flexs all over , and if you upgrade the servo it flexes even more , great parts video ,man i dont have mine yet , ive evidently got a lot to do , i got it on black friday sale , then withy points , i paid $750 , its on its way
Well I've listened to your advice. Picking up my scx6 for $1200 but it comes with about $700-800 worth of stuff of stuff I would have bought for it anyway, plus some stuff I wouldn't have bought for it. I do want a different body for it though. Thanks for the advice.
We purchased the SCX6 at my work as a project. We are all basically new to this, we would like to buy extra parts to have on hand if needed. Could you please suggest a trustworthy online retailer that sells extra parts or upgrades for it? Thank you.
got mine new w/o box from a pawn shop for 850. pretty happy buy. glad i waited an extra 2 weeks to buy or i wouldve bought a brand new one for full price.
I purchased new ! I'd rather not deal with 2nd hand ownership. I still bought nearly every Vitavon upgrade. But I will only replace the critical components at first. I did however purchase 10 alloy bead lock wheels ! 5 for the stock tires and 5 for the Interco S.S. tires I had purchased immediately ! All 10 have the Power Hobby dual stage foam inserts. As good and cheaper then Proline ! And bought the clipless body mount up front and the two rear printed plastic supports for the tilt up body. You probably guessed by now, I purchased an Axial SCX6 Trail Honcho ! And all I can say about that is... It's the most bad ass crawler I've ever owned 😎 Well besides my '00 - 1:1 Toyota Tacoma which really rocked my interests ! Won't be saying that regarding my purchase of the ROCHobbies '41 Willy's MB Jeep which (besides the scale looks) really is just a toy in comparison. (but I hoped it was better built) 😠

Thanks man plenty more to come on the 6!
If I could only invest in one upgrade, it would be the magnetic mount.

I love my Scx6 Honcho.
I sold my Tekno to buy one 😂
Good move, didn’t realize how much I would like this crawling thing until I grabbed a gen 8 but always liked the bigger scale
Jeezus, $1200?! I’m convinced you’re spending more on this hobby! 🤣
All birthday money really but I’ve spent tons over the years from when I was younger to the kids over the years but it’s a fun relaxing hobby.
Nsdrc all the way
idk I'm pretty happy with the power hobby 701 mg I have it in my outcast 8s as well
