As a Chinese. When I was kid, I was so proud to be called a little monkey. Because that all refer to sun wukong. Which represents bravery, cute, wise, kindness, sincere.
Not over here in the U.S.😂
I'm Canadian and I was called gorilla as an insult because pf my hair arms.
Didn't mind it one bit, gorillas are quite powerful mfs.
By Western calendar I was born in the year of rooster, but by Chinese lunar calendar I was born in the year of monkey. I insist to everyone I was born in the year of monkey because of Wukong.
I grew up in China and one of my highschool classmate looks skinny but has decent strength he's fast af when he's playing basketball, and he's last name is Sun so we all call him the monkey dude

Old Monkey didn't know 6th Relic is in Erlang's Third eye ... Thats why he said Wukong can only return with 5 relics successor without Wukong's mind. .... So for Bad Ending, he put the Headache Band on you ... but for good ending, you wake up after with Journey to the West' memory return .... >>>> Old Monkey is fishy here as he does not Wukong come back ?
Wukong can never be free with the head band on, so no head band is good ending(completed all the side quest and understand the story), him and Erlang maybe NeZha can truly form an freedom alliance against both the court and buddha, Chinese community suspects that the old monkey is resurrected Tang monk (Wukong's master).
