To add to this thread and I guess just to shut those people up. Maybe have England back, But in a flashback sequence. As you know, They did before as normal Freddy. I feel like an Omen legacy sequel could look into Damien possibly falling in love as well and that person ends up marked for death because of his infernal legacy and he tries to fight back against it. It would be interesting to see that kind of motivation from someone who is the literal son of the devil.
And yes, I agree that we need a season 4 of Hannibal. The only reason we didn’t get Clarice/Silence is because they only got the rights to the three other books that the films are based on. I would love to see them get full rights and see their take on Silence of the Lambs and Buffalo Bill.

Love these intelligent horror discussion videos - best channel on the subject as far as I'm concerned.
    I'll add my two cents:
Phantasm - There's still so much that could be done with this franchise, so I would love a film with new leads and A. Michael Baldwin as the Tall Man, with maybe a cameo from Reggie Bannister if he feels up for it.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Not a legacyquel, but a prequel focusing on the Sawyer family at their height in the 1950s, showing how the machines took over their jobs in the slaughterhouse and forced them into poverty and then cannibalism. Remember, the Sawyers PRIDED themselves on being butchers. It was practically their identity. And losing that and being entirely forgotten must have destroyed the family from the inside out. It's such a terrific backstory. I feel like a lot of drama could be mined from that, to the point where I can see a prequel potentially being even better than the 1974 original.
The Omen - Just remake the story of Omens 2 and 3. There's a lot of good ideas there, which those films wasted.
Friday the 13th - These films could literally go on forever if somebody with half a brain got the rights to make them. It doesn't need a specific remake or legacyquel. Just have them explain that Jason drowned and there's a legend of him returning to avenge his mother, and make a gazillion movies.

I would definitely love to see a follow-up to Dream Warriors, going back to the original film and ignoring everything else and following Nancy years later like Laurie in Halloween 2018, and doing the whole Halloween 2018 idea would be stupid and kinda predictable, but getting Patrica Arquette back and the rest of the surviving Dream Warriors and them having to face Freddy again would be an awesome, easy follow-up to Drean Warriors. I would also love a follow-up to the Friday the 13th remake, Running Jason was just fucking terrifying in that remake.

Agree 100% with Nightmare on Elm Street, as for Alien I'd propose doing a story based on Isolation. It fits between 1st and 2nd movie nicely and is a compelling story that's a blend of both focusing on Ellen Ripley as she fights to discover what happened to her mother. In the backdrop of the flight recorder being recovered and sent to a station that's in the process of being decommissioned. You've got an unfamiliar stage for the character as she races against time to not only find out what happened but also trying to escape the station as an Alien stalks them in a station that barely works/in disrepair.

I would like to see the universal monsters be remade like The Invisible Man. I know there’s a Wolfman movie with Ryan Gosling coming….
And I’m not saying they need to be connected and have crossovers. They just need to be created in a modern world and make them not only sympathetic, but also scary. The Invisible Man could also get a sequel with Elizabeth Moss using the suit. It could be a unique slasher.

Pumpkinhead was the second horror movie i saw as a young kid with my Grandma, so it holds a ton of sentimental value for me. It ignited my addiction and love of horror, but its also and more importantly a great movie. Simple and done well. I would be over the moon to get a major film release of a Pumpkinhead sequel. I enjoyed Blood Wings. The second installment. Ashes to Ashes and Blood Feud though were bad. The lore in the Pumpkinhead universe is amazing as well. If your a reader i would highly recommend both the Dark Horse and Dynamite comics mini series. I wonder if we could one day see movies from any genre be cast as “ what if “ films. So that way you could just start doing insert films into a series of films in between any two films and say well what if things had been different. So not a reboot, not a reimagining really, just a continuation veering off into another direction but working directly from what ever film you would be continuing off of. I hope that makes sense. I’m not sure if it does.

Sleepaway Camp works because the movie is so weird it's bad which makes it good because it's bad you cant really replicate that because it was bad by accident when they try to repeat that but on purpose, it never works.

This was a good list to go through. I'm a massive Friday the 13th fan and absolutely adored the remake along with the version of Jason we got, plus the film ended with pure sequel bait, so just go from there.
Your pitch for an A Nightmare on Elm Street follow up was great too (4-6 were bad) and as an added bonus it doesn't affect the frankly fucking fantastic New Nightmare.
How would you feel about an Elm Street remake that followed the blueprint for Rob Zombie's Halloween remake by giving us a stealth prequel for the first act? Out of all the horror slashers, Freddy, for me, is the most ideally suited for a story that explores his actions prior to becoming the haunter of Slumberville. We did get a little in Part 6 (as well as the TV show), but expanding on it by watching his kills while still alive, the court case, the mob justice burning, THEN moving into the Dream Demons giving him the power and we're off to the races.
The scenes after this don't need to follow the first movie and could be about a whole different cast of characters, with different nightmares, different kills, etc.

I might be the only one open to it, but I could see an Elm St prequel being good. Not covering Freddy's original, unsettling murders so much, but the town hunting him, the pact he made to get his powers, him learning how to use his powers in a few kills that happened pre-'Nightmare...'. Maybe a couple kills that Freddy slightly botched, and the town called them accidents. It'd have a tightrope to walk across in order to be good, but I'd be interested.
