Voice reminds me of Jude Law I wonder if you are from the same part of Britain. Really quite a great choice for narration clear and concise easy to listen to not like a cockney accent. Or a Scottish burr.
JH - you were talking in the beginning about sizing issues. It's true hotwheels and matchbox doesn't scale in 'true' 1:64. HOWEVER there's lots of companies that do, and the cars will be all that more detailed. Greenlight, JL, Autoworld and M2 machines will be a little more expensive, but the ratios of the cars will be proper. It also depends on how sort of 'real' you want your models to be - the more realistic of a miniature car you start with, the more realistic your model will seem when you're completed.
Great video! Love the exhaust sticking out of the hood of the truck! Only 1:72 scale people I have got yet where some Armourfast German motorcycles. The plastic was weird and rubbery. Kind of bendy and difficult to clean up the flash and mold lines with my razor. Are other brands like that too? It didn't look like these were when you were trimming them up in this vid. Any tips on working with the rubbery plastic?
Tbf some of my earliest attempts were with that rubbery plastic. I find if you wash them on (or off) the frame in some soapy water, it'll help release any mold release agent that can prevent gluing, and then when it comes to attaching them to builds I pin them in place.
Where do you get your sheets and tubes of plastic from? Thanks, new to modding cars been digging the channel. Would you consider a "whats in my workshop" or "trip to the hardware store; the tool shopping list" episode? Cheers mate.
@@jhminiatures7867 I checked it out- looks like fun. Reminds me of the game Tie Fighter- but with Post Apocalyptic cars- I was inspired by your videos and decided to give it a go myself. Ill be posting it later- not anywhere close to your level tho. Im still learning!
Maybe you can use toothpicks for spikes. Those are pointed enough to resemble real spikes. Also in Mad Max,a few cars have those huge poles which kinda sway like a pole vault thingy. Can you make 1 of those and add to 1 of the cars?
I have some zvesda sarracens I plan using them in a Small team for my friend. If I may make a suggestion, how about a vid about builds where you used 2 cars bodies in one vehicle.
Ooooooh gosh first I hear about this game called 'Gaslands' from BaremetalHW, then I look it up. Watch this video, 19 seconds in I hear an awesome narrator voice, I get the feeling I am in for some awesomeness.
Nice truck, can't wait to see it painted. I need to pick up some 1/72 figures so I can get started on my army of vehicles.

Awesome video! Just getting into Gaslands and I'd love to have people in the cars.
Copying your exhausts and intake! Great job mate!

Nice work, any idea how to make the spiky car seen in the thumbnail and at 6:02 .
Yes :D I made the car, so I should hope so! What I'll do, is make a video on it

Another Fantastic Video!
Hey James, for future Vids, do you think you might do one on simple weathering, Hall-Style? Cheers mate.
