This is like...my goal for like, my entire life!!!!!! wtf that's the most amazing thing I've ever heard!!!! This must be the Paganini of french horn!!!!!!
Nah... Obviously this cadenza is amazing, but the real crazy things for the Horn are in the music of the baroque period... The composers of that era put virtous things that you usually see in others instruments like violin or clarinet but in the Horn... That era its a real challenge for anyone (of any instrument) but more for the French Horn players
@@themusicmanjph Yep... And, if you doesnt listened the baroque Horn music yet, i recommend you the CD of baroque music played by Barry Tuckwell, a really virtous hornist, his sound and agility are really amazing. I have to say, that CD is my favorite and i every time i hear it, i enjoy how the music and the soloist can express beautiful feelings through really difficult melodies...
this is truly incredible. full respect for the player. so clean and played with such passion....and those super high notes are outstanding. i'd love to play this as well as he/she who did this recording!
Because it's a cadenza, and so it's to be played at the speed the player chooses. So the notation is more of a guide, saying that those 128th notes are to be played faster than the 64th notes or 32nd, etc. Etc.
In a piece that is an hommage to Tchaikovsky to have an hommage to the Cadenza is totally meta... those octave trills! nice work and some mind blowing playing.
Does anyone know how to find a pdf of this particular version? I’m trying to use it for my Bluecoats audition next year but all of the results I get are not good copies
Hi anthony, I wrote this cadenze for my first public performance of the gliere concerto sometime in the early 90's. It leans on or borrows from the cadenzas by Polekh, Buyanovsky and Baumann in addition to the original source material from the concerto itself. Thanks for listening!
its so funny when the orchestra joins in again 😂. its like the went to sleep and woke up very suddenly.
I've always thought that, too. I love this piece but that re-entrance is so weird and funny
haha I laughed out loud that part

Glad you enjoyed it!
Does anyone know the purpose of having 128th notes instead of a rip?
because it's a run with intentional notes. A rip is more of a half-valved or lip gliss.
because tears
clarity
don't rush the notes.

Well done. It has some nice ideas and sits well. Top E pause looks great fun. Nicely played.
My aspiration as a horn player lol. I'd love to see this live
WOW!!! !¡!The músic and the player!!!
This is the best thing I have ever heard!
this person who made this piece must be insane.
Its a cadenza, meaning a usually unaccompanied part of a concerto, usually not written by the composer
I believe Karl was the person who wrote this cadenza, as you can see his last name as the composer in the upper right hand corner.
@@ejbeanie07 Yes, my cadenza - but I borrowed a bit from Polekh, Buyanovsky and Baumann!
@@KarlKramerhorn This raises the question: are you or are you not insane? XD
Thank you for the score!
I was like oh yeah I can play that until that very last part cause oh god I need at least another few years to hit that note
awesome maestro Karl!!!!!
すごすぎます
Best recording ever!
the high E. i’m screaming.

Wow. Starts like the Polekh cadenza but does some crazy stuff. Impressive.
That high e though
It’s my second year in French horn it will definitely take me a while to learn that
I've been playing the horn for 8 years and I'm know where close to that, the top f is actually insane and the control over the octaves is crazy
Wow.
epic
Wow, this was an amazing piece of music! Is there any chance you could share the sheet music?
OMG 😲

2:05 is actually fuking insane
Where can I find this peice of music. It's so beautiful
But when I do it the conductor says I'm out of sync with the rest of the orchestra.
I've heard horn players playing the introduction of this piece.
1:36 saving for later
high A....👏👏👏
2:02 just wow
Когда то давно играл на валторне, божественный инструмент. Сейчас даже за нотами проследить не могу :( какой позор .
You is good horn player. Spoken from another horn player
