Wow some amazing finds coming up but must congratulate you with your find of a silver hammered coin and many artefacts in that freezing field. Absolute well done 👌👍😀👋 Tony
Burr! Extra points for persistence to dig and explore among the frozen ground there. Burr! I think I’m allergic to Winter 🥶. Thanks for taking us along. I can’t see what you’ll find next time!
It has to be said that ALL of the lovely finds you and your friends discovered seem to be totally worth braving the elements! These finds were truly remarkable!! Congrats to all of you!
Wow, amazing finds !! Thanks for enduring the freezing cold and bringing us along to share in the awesomeness !! : ) I could hear you shivering oh so slightly 🥶 hope you can wear an extra layer
Even though I am from Aust🇦🇺 The cold dosent worry me. Must be my euro background. Sensational finds Miss E and I am so jealous of you guys and your finds. I think there may be gold at that last site. 🤙😎
Great videos! You find amazing things and it's easy to tell you enjoy the hobby. I am a Deus user myself from Newbrunswick Canada and I find you videos very refreshing. Ty and keep up the great work!
What a great vid E. That was above and beyond the call of duty - I’m inspired. Some nice creative photography too. You deserved your hammered - well done 😊
Another great vid adventure, Ellie! Glad to know you all survived the elements. What a brilliant hammered silver coin...you are indeed lucky to have spotted it on your spade before you moved on. Your skills and eye as a landscape artist truly shine through your cinematography here, with the unusual camera angles, the crisp audio of your footsteps on the ice, etc. Interested to learn more about that tiny carved head fragment that Beth found -- let us know if that's identified any further. Almost looks like the Green Man!
In the PAS record for a similar mount it says ‘An incomplete copper alloy belt-stud mount dating to 1200 - 1400. The mount is broadly sub-triangular and takes the form of a forward-facing, crowned head, probably depicting a king. The facial features have been incised into the convex surface of the mount, creating a stylised appearance. The eyes are oval with triangular indentations for the pupils. A circular-sectioned rivet sits at the centre of the forehead, projecting backwards from the hollow underside of the mount. A horizontal groove separates the top of the head from the crown.’ So a king of some kind! Very stylised though as you noticed!
Sugar spoon. Shoe buckle bar? (raised area on the back with a hole). Fabulous hammered coins. One of my Roman coins was stuck to the end of my Accupoint. The beeping wouldn't stop even after a reboot. Great finds from all.
Hi Ellie! Lovely video, its lovely to get out in the fresh air. I braved the cold today too and found my first jetton, it's very thin, fragile and a bit broke but it counts
Really enjoyed this one Ellie, so happy for you that you found that lovely hammered coin, always good to check your spade if a signal disappears. And by the way, when you said you didn’t think you’d be able to find anything as small as that hammered coin that was found, my friend found half an Elizabeth I penny which is just over 1cm so is teeny tiny with a Vanquish 440 so I’m sure you’d have no problem finding small coins with a Deus. Sorry but had to laugh when you called that gilt button “mean” for tricking you into thinking you’d found gold 😂 Fantastic video as always, thanks for sharing Ellie 😊
Nice hunt and some sunshine too! Snowy and cold here too -10f the other night, ground is frozen deep but I marked a bunch of signals with orange hunters tape in the woods and made a map for the spring thaw, hope no one else figures them out. haha Love your videos What was that thing that looked like a bell clanger, I couldn't quite hear? Stay safe and good luck!
I’m looking at 28 to 49 (-2 to +9) tomorrow, with partly cloudy skies, but watching this, I’m determined to make it happen. Though I don’t anticipate any hammered’s in the southern US. Thanks for the inspiration! Cheers!
Way to go really pleased for with the James. But and be honest did you really have to walk the track breaking the ice or was it just everyone’s impulse to see a frozen puddle & just have to break the ice 😊❤
Better sleep in your detecting outfit next time, better sleep and straight outta the door, win win. As for the finds they were amazing .I think with spoons if the bowl is round it generally means it's old ,unless it's a ladle. Poss 16/1700's👍
ENJOYING THIS ONE? Try this one next - same area! Rich in medieval history...... ua-cam.com/video/WJ5wM5X5vTk/v-deo.html

Wow some amazing finds coming up but must congratulate you with your find of a silver hammered coin and many artefacts in that freezing field. Absolute well done 👌👍😀👋 Tony
Thank you it’s a really nice coin 🙂🙂 really pleased to have found it
The curse of the lost signal, I can often be seen kneeling next to a hole cursing.
Well done on the Silver !
Cursing is my speciality. 😂👍🏻
Well, well. That hammered was certainly a mood picker upper 😉
Lovely find, Miss D. Congrats.
It sure was! Suddenly forgot I was cold!
Burr! Extra points for persistence to dig and explore among the frozen ground there. Burr! I think I’m allergic to Winter 🥶. Thanks for taking us along. I can’t see what you’ll find next time!

Awesome finds. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful little piece of a silver shoe buckle.
That was a very cool buckle must’ve been worn by a pretty flashy customer!
exquisite icy adventure, I love the cracking ice sound, your below zero sleeping tale, and a stunning coin, thanks Ellie

@@miss_detectorist Ellie, thanks for sharing that additional detail. I learn something new with every one of your vids. A fascinating find for sure!
How brave are you ❤
It was only a bit of frost - I survived to tell the tale! 🙂🙂
Hello Ellie. Let's go. Looks cold.
It sure has been cold! Double hat territory! Thanks for watching :))

Nice silver coin
It’s a stunner! I love it. Only I think my tenth hammered coin so always a treat!

@ You’re very welcome, thank you so much for all the hard work you do making the videos, I love them 😍
You had some wonderful finds. I think that the coin made up for being out in the cold. You are braver than I am, I'm a fair weather detectorist.
Sometimes foul weather kicks up some cool signals! Also, it is quite a laugh facing hardship with mates isn’t it 😂❄️
Nice hunt and some sunshine too!

The whole field was full of frozen stripes but you’re right it is irresistible to make that lovely sound!
👍🤞👍😊
Braver than me stopped at home perma frost here in yokshire.,
Fortune favours the brave - I believe our Roman friends used to say!

I did sleep fully clothed and with a hat 😂😂😂
Well done for getting out in the ice. 🫡 some nice finds there too. happy new year all the best .
Cheers Richard 🙂👍🏻
