I don't get on much but when i do I always enjoy our cover tunes. Always a nice job and again Big Clapton fan I got to see him a few times once in the 70s got to sit behind the band which was very cool. Thanks for sharing ☮
This is one of my favorite 80's song. Came out when I was 16. You absolutely killed it! Great work. I don't know how it took me this long to find this video!
Well that's cheered me up while self-isolating in these crazy times. Music has the power to heal and communicates with us all. Another inspiring upload my friend, a top job as always - thank you so much, stay safe ....... :-)
I am a huge Eric Clapton fan have been for many many years actually named my son eric after him. Came across this video while searching UA-cam to watch some Eric Clapton classics and I must say sir, you are amazing. One of the best covers I have ever heard I will absolutely be following you in the future. great job!
Nice touch with playing the sunburst strat (as per live in ’85)! For me, behind the sun is a criminally underrated album with some absolutely stellar playing on it!! Oh, and great job.
Have been waiting for this for soooo Long! Grabbing my strat and playing along with you right now As always i'm amazed by your tone and how precise it is! Plus, your playing is so clean, and the solo is not easy to get that clean! Love it!
Brother not too many chords and the lead seems easy. I was in high school when this song came out, I liked it then but I dig even more now. Thanks Kamil
This is great. Read below on one fo the posts it is not an amp. WOW great tone!.... well done on getting Claptons feel. That looks like a 57' reissue just like mine!
I would love to cover Bluesbreakers and Cream stuff but I need to buy a proper Gibson Les Paul (and 335) first. My plan is to finish after 'From the Cradle', go back and re-record Dominos album (I cringe when I watch those old covers) and perhaps, when I finally buy a proper gear start with 'All Your Love' and climb again, up to the Blind Faith album. One can only dream...
I think this was the last record EC used Blackie on and then he moved onto the modern strats with the MDX mid-boost circuits which I've never dug...I miss that ol' bite he had on these old solos.
Jesus you did it again! 1:14-1:36 mark solo is so precise..I’m curious how many hours you’ve spent practicing? You are literally note for note copying Eric. Blown away with your accuracy 💪🏻
Very well done, as usual. You sir, have mastered EC NO DOUBT. Just out of curiosity, are you in a EC tribute band? Also, if I may ask, do you play just as well standing up? Cheers.
Great cover as always! How do you start to learn each song? Do you slow the songs down at all? Or do you just listen to the record multiple times til you get it? Cheers!
Thanks! I open the original track in Ableton, add my guitar track below, bring out a new, empty tab sheet (if needed - some parts, especially rythms are too easy to tab) and then sit and record/re-record until I'm satisfied with the result. Ableton is great because you can alternate the tone after your track is already recorded so I can first focus on right notes so it's in unison and then play with the tone to get it as close as possible.
@@chasesguitar No problem. Bear in mind that Ableton is just one of many available tools to edit and create music. You don't need Ableton to study Eric's songs. That's just what I use as I need to record, mix and process it as well. It's quite an expensive tool and I got it free after purchasing Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Previously I was using just a simple, free software called Audacity (for all covers of songs before 'Money & Cigarettes').
Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I also have Amplitube 4 plugin. I don't use any real amp. That's why I can alternate the tone, since all is digital anyway thanks to Amplitube 4 plugin opened in Ableton.
Sorry, I don't take requests and I don't really plan to record entire live albums. I go song-by-song, album-by-album and sometimes I'll record some live songs or outtakes in between of the LPs (e.g. 'Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever').
The 'blackie' one is a Fender Classic Series 50s Stratocaster and the 'brownie' is a Fender Special Stratocaster (with a neck from different Classic Series 50s Stratocaster).

nailed it dude, this is one of Claptons best songs in my opinion. That solo was perfect!!!!!!!

It's one of my favorite Clapton songs, and I think Eric would be pleased with this.
Thanks! Glad you're pleased with my cover!
Nice touch with playing the sunburst strat (as per live in ’85)! For me, behind the sun is a criminally underrated album with some absolutely stellar playing on it!! Oh, and great job.
Yep, that's exactly why I decided to use the sanburst for that. Thanks!
Close to perfection.Amazing job.
Thanks!
As a musician, I enjoyed this very much! I play violin, keyboard and piano but always wanted to play guitar. Awesome!👍
Thanks!

great cover! nice (light touch). well done!!!
Thanks!
Skillfully done! Enjoyed it!
Glad you liked it!

Thanks man! Yes, it's a very fun and tight (but not hard) song to play!
This song and especially the lead are all about feel and TONE. The lead is a full-on screamer when given ample compressed gain.
You're Always working & Always amazing. Clapton inspiration is "Forever Man"
Dominic Dimele Thanks a lot! It’s good to be working!
Great cover One of my favorite Clapton songs.
Thanks Rob!
So smooth and accurate. Appreciate your talent.

Brilliant...Absolute precision playing.
Thank you!
Excellent job Colin !! The Clapton Vibrato you have Mastered as well......
Thanks a lot! His vibrato is something that I have never studied carefully. It just came naturally I guess after watching hundreds of his videos.
Brilliant! Expected no less from you! 👏🏻
Thanks a lot!
Hi little Slowhand. I'm always fan.
Great guitar player and great sound. Amazing. 🎸🎶👍.

@@ColinStachowski Your Dominoes recordings aren’t cringey, they’re some of the best I’ve ever seen, they have a lot of accuracy
This is awesome! Very well played and dig the guitar!

Note perfect solo. Nicely done.
Thanks!
Bravissimo complimenti davvero 👏👏

Nicely played man!! Love it!
Thanks!
Thanks for this. Really helping me to learn to play it right. I want to learn Eric's style and you were pretty faithful to the original. Great job!

wow!!! i can´t wait to hear you play "just like a prisoner"
Thanks! A lot of people are waiting for this one it seams!
Just sitting here dreaming I wish I could play like that just love it
And I dream I could play better!
Never mind the old slogan of "Clapton is God"...
How about....
Colin is God!
Nice work young man 👍
Happy New Year!
You're too kind! Thanks Lionel!
If this REALLY is you playing, then I will say it is pefect. Wow!
Thanks!
the lead is awesome
Thanks!
Good song
Thanks!
久しぶりに見たけどやっぱり上手いな〜
Thanks!
Very nice. Just wondering, why is the guitar tuned down a step for this song?
Thanks! Because that’s what he did in the original track.
Parabéns Garoto, perfeito
Thanks!
Great tone Bro,,, I noticed you have two different sunburst strats, Or did you swap the necks out?
GREAT!!!! But tell me, this tuning 1 tone below where did you get this idea? its like a perfect sound in solo.
Thanks! That's just what Eric was doing live in '85 and on the original recording.
so EC tuned down to D on all the songs? Or just this one?
this is awesome man, closest i’ve heard to the recording. how did you get the tone? sounds pretty perfect man. good job
Thanks! I'm using Amplitube 4 for my Clapton tones.
Merci pour cette vidéo. j'ai pu apprendre le solo avec l'accordage en D comme l'original. tres bon son aussi, utilise tu guitar rig?
Thanks! I use Amplitube 4.
I’ve seen tab for this in Bb is that right ???? Not much into theory
What amp or not deals are you using? Awesome job
Thanks! Amplitube 4.
Hi Colin how do you get your sound please and what pick ups are in your guitar thank you colin
Pickups are texas specials but I guess all depends on the amp: in this case it's digital JCM800 copy from Amplitube 4.
A Clapton classic and you nailed it! Do you know how to play his 'Theme From Communion'? I always thought those chords were really haunting
Thanks! No, sorry, I've never studied his soundtrack work that much.
i dig it
Thanks!
Sounds great - what kind of strings are you using on that Fender? Just wondering if you're using Slinky's or something other for those bends.
Thanks a lot! I'm using Ernie Ball 10-46.
We need Layla next..hope it’s on the setlist 🤙🏻
Awesome. How did you get the tone?
Thanks! Amplitube 4.
Hi Colin just a session with you cheaper that seeing Eric. Lol brilliant m8
Thanks a lot!
nice play. i like it. I want to request you to upload your version of Aint nobody business if I do EC used to play in the tour of 1994/1995.
I'm sorry, I don't do requests because I go song by song, album by album in order.
The lead tone is absolutely spot on!
Thanks Mike!
what strat model is that?
sick cover btw‼️
Fender American Special Stratocaster with 50 Classic Series Neck.
Thanks!
Good man !! Same old blues coming soon ?
Thanks! It’s already done, check it out!
Great job Colin! You used a mid booster for the solos? Cheers
Hi Andre, no I don't even have any mid-booster. It's just an overdriven amp + texas special pickups which may give it a bit hotter tone.
What pedals are u using?
None. Just Amplitube 4.
Which tuning are you playing in?
D Standard.
Slayed
Thanks!
Very well done, as usual. You sir, have mastered EC NO DOUBT.
Just out of curiosity, are you in a EC tribute band?
Also, if I may ask, do you play just as well standing up?
Cheers.
Thanks a lot! I do not play i any tribute band. Just do it for fun, for you and myself. Yes, I play just the same standing up.
Colin is God! (thank you, again, sir!)

You must have your guitar tuned different. This is how I’ve seen him play it live. Great cover.
Thanks! It’s tuned down a whole step to D Standard. Same as in rythm for See What Love Can Do.
Colin Stachowski ah. Yes this makes sense.
Nice take! New guitar or new neck?
New neck! From 50s Classic Series Strat.
Tuning is D standard (full step down: D - G - C - F - A - D). You are welcome.
Are you tuned down?
Yes, whole step down to D Standard.
Thank you colin

I am absolutely not that rich!

This solo might be perfect.
Yes, always loved it. Short but powerful!
