That depends on the curve for the test. Some tests are relatively easier so getting even just 1 wrong can reduce your points by 10 or even 20. Some tests are harder though, so getting one wrong can still make you have a perfect score. You can check out Allen Cheng on prepscholar to see what I'm saying (he experienced these)

Navya, if you have really good extracurriculars, GPA, and other test scores that should be perfectly fine but if you want to compensate for another area that might be lacking than you definitely want to get it up. And agreed, the August curve was brutal. On my math section I went from. 9 questions wrong on the last test to only 6 wrong, and I still got the same score.
Navya Yagalla yes, 35 is REALLY good. It’s basically the ACT equivalent of a 1560-1590. If you have both of those scores you could pretty much get into any school you wanted, assuming your GPA/classes, extracurriculars, leadership, etc. all match the level of the scores

You don't have to. It honestly depends on how much you are able to out into this and what kinda school you're aiming for. I'd say eigth grade is a bit early, but it depends on your situation

Just a fan if you can work outrageously quickly (do sixty math problems in sixty minutes. One minute MAX per problem), then yes, it’s easier. If you’re a slow worker and cannot think quick enough (like me), the SAT is easier.
